We need a center that plays defense and is not taking all three foots shots. He does not like to play down low cause I don't believe he likes to contact whatever we may say we need Robinson.

Your complaining about the best part of Thibs game. He is supposed to be a defense genius? Guarding the basket is his priority, that's why he needs a center who is dedicated and built to guarding the basket, that's not KAT's game. He has wings like Boston, which are built to defend the 3 point line First. Unfortunately that is not how Thibs is using his wasted wings. They are doing things which is not the kind of defense that they do best which is to help Kat protect the basket. OG is NOT a power forward, he rebounds like a point guard. Poor Hart has to do most of the heavy lifting on the boards. Fortunately KAT has done his share. But it is either Hart or KAT. There is nobody else rebounding. Thibs offense is predicated on ball hogging, which slows down the game and indirectly protects his bad defense. What use to ultimately save the Knicks was insane rebounding effort. Which is why Hart is starting, when Duece should be starting. At least then, the offense could be elite and modern. Following Boston's anti ball hogging 3 second rule, where you either shoot, drive or pass. Granted the boards would be a mess and you won't be winning a championship. But it would be fun to watch, guard the 3Pt line and get you into the conference finals only to lose to the Celtics. The best lineup would be starting Precious, sitting Hart. At least the rim protection and rebounding could reach mediocrity. Offense could still be elite and defense very good. And they have a slight chance of beating the Celtics. OG at small forward would be a major defense upgrade over Hart. I have given up on Simms. He is playing scared. Huk should be playing, he is already a better rim protector. Kolleck was pulled immediately after being beaten once on a back door. He was not the only Knick beaten on a back door. It is a wonder that he has the confidence to shoot. This is another one of Thibs great talents breaking the confidence of his young players. RJ looks far better away from Thibs, unfortunately RJ experienced another one of Thibs great talent, physically breaking his players by stupidly overplaying them. Quickly has had trouble staying healthy. Thibs managed to consistently break Randle who is a stud built like a mountain. A Thibs player is one who is a masochist like Hart, someone who is truly all heart and deserves a real coach. Brunson needs a coach that teaches him to be a passer first and scorer second. Last minutes of the Atlanta game it was all Brunson iso, not a single pick and roll with a Hot KAT. It was like if JB was thinking that he had Mitch out there. There is nobody rebounding his missed shots this year. Thibs is an effort Coach. If he wins, its all because of him. If they lose its because of the lack of effort by his players. Its never his fault. He is a politician. He rewards obedience and punishes lack of effort. If this was prepassing football, his Paleolithic style of coaching might work. The GM has mastered the gathering of talent but not of coaching.

Thibs keeps to an 8 man rotation and the 8th, 7th man will hardly be played 10 minutes. He will never play a rookie or sophomore, no matter how good they are or how much they can contribute. He literally only relies on players' talent, hence why he will play his best players more than a lot!!!! If there's any knock on the front office, it's the retaining of Thibs. We should've been going into this season with a new coach. Where tf is Dolan in this kind of situation? Is he complicit just because we're relevant and making him money?!?!? Aside from a little tweak like adding Cam Payne (which is a great move for a player I couldn’t stand here in Chicago but has truly come into his own) to backup Brunson, the Knicks were stacked. Now they’ve traded their heart and soul for Towns who can be soft at times. I’m sure Minnesota is going to love Randle’s toughness and experience come playoff time and DiVo is just a dog.
