Dave Stieb absolutely belongs in the Hall. Best pitcher of the 1980s, and it's not all that close.

Maybe they held out on Ichro because he never had post season success. I saw him take batting practice at Tiger Stadium and he launched a few over the roof with great ease. Moved like a ballet dancer.

Last season at Tiger Stadium was 1999 and Ichiro's first season was 2001, was it an exhibition game?

I am glad Dan talked a little about baseball. Hopefully after a good year for the sport in 2024 it gets more airtime this year. Especially after football in about 3 weeks. I agree with this year's ballot, but I think Andruw Jones and Carlos Beltran should get in. Andruw has 10 gold gloves, and solid offensive states. Not great offensive states, but those gold gloves showed how great his defense was. Carlos was a solid all around player for most of his career, and with good numbers.

Chicago sports teams are pathetic, poor QB, he’s lucky he didn’t get injured this year, at least we have the Blackhawks…grey skies, the lake, and no other city can outdo us in the use of unregistered firearms, at least we have that going for us.

Another guest with the hideous verbal tic of putting RIGHT? at the end of many statements/sentences, it drives me mad. Verducci, an award winning writer, does NOT do this in his writings, WHY do they then do it SO often whilst speaking? I don't know why it bothers is so much, but more and more people are doing it. Some WAY more than others.
