For all the folks looking to "dominate" Ableton Live 11, this is a must-look at learning it. I cannot believe the time, clarity, and attention to detail that this video has created. It is simply the best, in my view, and it is so easy to follow. Just commit the time to it and keep revisiting it, and you will master Ableton Live! Excellent job, folks, and thanks for doing this!!!

Hey Tomas, I have to compliment you: I have been working in music production for 30 years now, and while I am right now in the phase of restructuring my studio (and I still got no intern that crawls for me under the Desks), this course came randomly up in the mighty YT Algorithm. I usually find these tutorials so annoying, boring, fake, or just screaming between the lines of what some try to sell me, that I can't stand it if I am doing work with a little focus needed. But this was not that. Even doing Audio Network and Server Stuff your voice somehow found a way thru, and I ESPECIALLY AM IMPRESSED, how you still manage to explain every little step, that must be bread and butter for years. I also had to laugh out loud, when you, totally serious, explained that a microphone only will be sent on one channel, even if it's in some stereo track...but.OF COURSE. Someone who is starting totally fresh...how should he know. So, my friend, and now that I did this, and finished my beer..... let's crawl back into the server room. Greetz from Germany.

The best ableton tutorial : structured, logical, with a clear language, with step by step objectives, simple demonstrations, not as all these rough small amateur tutorials which contaminate youtube. Good job !

i remember first watching this video a couple years ago and so happy how many more people has found this! This is BY FAR the absolute BEST tutorial your going to find on youtube for learning ableton. I've been through relentless searches and all others honestly was skipping around all over the place making it very confusing and just wanting to show off their beats. But this guy here does it the absolute best and makes things so understandable. I was completely clueless to music production until i stumbled across this video and I haven't been the same since. Making music is now a breeze using Ableton thanks to Thomas. 🔥🔥♥♥

FROM A LONG-TERM-FRUSTRATED LIVE (ATTEMPTED) USER -- this tutorial finally DID it for me -- Live 12 and Novation Launchkey MK3 25 plus LIVE CONGA / LATIN DRUMS-- UNLESS YOU'RE AN AI - YOU CANNOT LEARN LIVE IN ONLY A FEW MINUTES! WE HUMANS NEED TIME TO DO SO! no way around that! what's the rush? you might be using LIVE for the rest of your musical life! like learning to ride a bike! did you learn to do that in 20 minutes? i doubt it! YOU GET MY POINT let's all slow down and learn it RIGHT and use it to the MAX to create something MAGICAL and SOULFUL! (OH - now where did i put my "training wheels?")

This made me buy the course. I'm 30 lessons in and literally by lesson 5 I was like "why didn't I do this before" he really makes it so easy to understand and you can follow along. I'd suggest getting a second screen so you can mess with ableton and watch the lessons though. It'd be hard if I didn't have two.

As many on here will confirm, coming to Ableton from other DAW's is no easy thing ! I rarely leave comments on videos but am compelled to record out here that I tried out many of the " quick start" videos as well as other longer Ableton training videos - even tried to read the manual - but gave up cause there is at times too much detail to get past to get to the "meat" ( at least for how my mind works!). This video is just the right mix of Ableton concept explanation and " need to know at this stage" feature explanation to get me to a point where I can honestly start out on my own without getting frustrated every few minutes, cause something didn't work out as per the video I'd just seen ( probably needed some prior extra setting done, or the explanation didn't cover some of the common use cases) . Just things like playing midi or audio samples between arrangement and session views used to be hard to grasp cause the concepts between the two views was not well explained like on here. I got a lot of misunderstandings cleared up. Thanks so much ! I bought the course - tbh- just as a thank you for now!! ( and as a safe guard in case I still have some questions ....later!!) 🙏

@@slysquare6671 hmm difficult to answer, I had a experience with FL studio and a bit in pro tools (which is somewhat similar to ableton) , so it defo helped with learning Ableton. I am watching this because I have wanted to upgrade from reason for about 15 years but always felt the learning curve would be to drastic. I tried watching 10s of "beginner " tutorials.
