The thing about gods and mythology in the AC universe is that they're not technically real. They're artifacts from the Isu that humans interact with, but it's technology that's so far beyond their comprehension that they manufactured mythologies around. The artifacts also physically change people who use them without having Isu DNA, though, as we see in Odyssey.

You're fairly well-informed, but unfortunately you made one big mistake that messes up the premise of the video: You mixed up two timelines, the Classic one and the LAU one (remember, there are *three* game timelines). Lara denying everything that happened is something that comes from the LAU timeline (check out the link to the biography - it's a Crystal Dynamics biography, not Core Design biography). Classic Lara actually wrote books about her adventures (not sure if there was ever mentioned anything about how she deals with the press though). LAU biography mentioned some things Classic Lara did and then said LAU Lara denies it, without telling us if she actually did those things or she didn't.

Look up these obviously imaginary people called Pliny the Elder, Flavius Josephus, Tacitus, There are numerous text about him and absolutely no one debated whether or not he was a historical figure. If you disregard these people then you are disregarding nearly everything we know about ancient Rome. Even atheists today have shown an unbiased view on the mater and while they do not believe he is divine, many have acknowledged the authenticity of his life and death. Tacitus mind was a senator and had access to official roman documents on the matter and it is hardly a surprise that such documents are no longer available. When Rome began to collapse many many documents were destroyed and left to rot. With so many well known scholars and leaders in society whose job was to find sources and record information about affairs such as these you have to either be daft or care little for history to not believe, at least, that there was a man by the name of Jesus who was alive and died around the time that has been stated by many well respected and far more intelligent people then most. To end there are plenty of historical figures who we only know about due documents written far after there life and death. That is why we trust the sources that we do because other wise we would no nothing about our far past. It is fine to be skeptical but it is not fine to write off a possibly because of arrogance, this is a issue we may never solve but we do know of our sources and the authenticity behind them and in the end the truth is but the truth. Just because he existed does not prove your beliefs wrong.

As much as I appreciate the realism in modern gaming, I think we lost something. Anything, ANYTHING, used to be possible. You never knew what could be around the corner, and that was so exciting. It's implied that Super Nova is just an illusion created by Sephiroth in order to trick not only the party, but you the player. There's at least one point earlier in the game where you can see what the FFVII solar system looks like and it does not look like ours. This is also why the ability does gravity element damage, which does only a percentage of your health, and actually cannot kill you. In universe the attack is not real.
