Our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy >>and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.
@Joegolberg1Ай бұрын
People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyper inflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyper-inflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.
@Benjaminarmstrong684Ай бұрын
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.

The most important thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government. Every crash/collapse brings with it an equivalent market chance if you are early informed and equipped, I've seen folks amass wealth amid economy crisis, and even pull it off easily in favorable conditions. Could I please ask two things that I really think will help drive engagement for you? 1. Always put a preface at the start of a clip video stating that it is a clip with a link to the full video 2. @bobshenatzky5576Ай бұрын
They equate 3rd world with old world. We are so dependent on technology in the 1st world, that any disruption in the grid, or satellite-based connectivity can reault in a sudden halt to 99% of our way of life. People in 3rd world countries are used to living primitively and will be effected emotionally in a less dramatic fashion. Americans on the other hand, wil be killing themselves and their neighbors.

Countries rise and fall on a 250 year cycle plus or minus 20 years or so... no exceptions in world history... the driver is human nature... we get greedy, slothful and ignorant in good times (that peak lasts 50 years or so....similarly with the down cycle. Some individuals get rich either way...most will suffer a bit... and it is most likely true that US will likely do better this time because its infrastructure is already built if for no other reason.... it will not dodge the end game in it own cycle....for an example of what that looks like across all aspects of existence look around at whats going in the US.... That conclusion will vary depending on your biases, we are all biased, yours slants to a 'normalcy' bias ... mine slants toward a demographics, cultural and historical bias....neither will keep you or I from what happens in river city.... that is ongoing history and it has a millennia long completely well mapped footprint.... none of that to prevent the astute or blessed *individual from living a successful life.

Key idea discarded by 99% people shared here: 14m00 I would add: Never put your life into other peoples hands, even less to a concept, a myth, a story like a government and the voice of patriotism (attachment to the land/ the people of the land). Your life can end at any time and there will only be one, so aim for the planet as a home and not a specific piece of "land" that will be the property of a different myth every few decades. Today a democracy? Historicaly, you might age into a dictature. Today in peace? your ancestors had that too, before going into horrific wars. Today with good neighboors? Chances are that they will charter your familly into doom one day. Be free and embrace every realities of the world, so when your paradigm is shifting, you can value your life more than other peoples myths and stories.

I agree with Raoul Pal - any citizen of any country has NO CLUE to which degree his/her freedom exists until The State DECIDES that one no longer has it. China, US, Europe…just different “freedoms”, all controlled and tracked.

The issue with a cbdc isn't so much privacy in and of itself. It's the centralization of private information, in the hands of unaccountable bureaucrats. At least with a corporation there is a modicum of accountability. If you don't like Google you can stop using their products. Google also doesn't have an incentive (most of the time) to try and control public policy, in a way that would very directly affect every aspect of your life. Google (for the most part) doesn't care how you spend your money as long as you spend more of it with them. Governments do, because many people that get into government want control in order enforce an ideology, and have the means to do so. In addition the amount of data that they could collect centralized, could give them more creative ways to try to tax us and screw us over, but because it's the government we can't really boycott it...

People still use cash. Some of my customers pay in cash. Some of vendors I deal with either accept just cash/checks, or give a discount for paying in cash.

Tom when you recount the horrors of the Gulag Archipelago don’t you think the horrors occurring right now in Gaza are any better? This is a genocide conducted by Israel with full support of the US government. Congress stood up and cheered for Netenyahu to ‘get the job done’.

There’s a difference between you choosing not to use cash and you not having a choice when the banks disappear and all that exist is a Fed wallet and you can’t get it off of the Wallet because you said the wrong thing about the wrong politician then you cannot buy and sell, and you were locked out of the system prepared to starve to death. It’s quite clear there’s a giant difference between having money in the bank and having it on a Fed wallet that you’re forced to have it On The idea that “Central bank digital currencies aren’t that bad” is bat shit crazy!
