I don't use Final Cut Pro, but this does help me understand the key concepts and then apply them to the software I do have. As always, good videos and helpful info.

Yes, these ideas can definitely be applied to other apps too!

I have been using FCP for about a decade and never knew any of this. Thanks from Brisbane Australia Tom. You rock.

I apologize for being late to this episode. My Dad had died, and was literally being buried, as this one came out. Didn't have to tell you, but, thought that you should know. He was 88. Thank you for reading this.

So sorry to hear about your dad. I'm happy he got 88 years of life, but that doesn't make it any easier. Please take care of yourself and your family 🙏❤️

brother can you tell me which monitor you are using and how compatible is it with MacBook ? thanks

I use the LG 34WN80C-B. It's not 4K, but I like it a lot and it has USB C input/charging, which is great for the MacBook! geni.us/lgultrawide

Hey, would recommend the Shure mv7+? or the Shure SM7B? I’m kind of stuck on which one I should choose. 😅
@tombuck3 ай бұрын
SM7B if you're planning to go with primarily XLR and MV7 if you want USB functionality 👍
@EthanScott613 ай бұрын
Thanks! I appreciate it a lot! I don’t have an audio interface yet, unfortunately. 😢 But I can figure that out on my own. Once again, I really appreciate it! I think the SM7B might be a good choice for me. I have a really deep voice and I think the SM7B might be the perfect choice for me. Once again, (for the 3rd time) Thank you. God bless you, man.

Helpful. How about one on creating catchy thumbnails?
@tombuck3 ай бұрын
Hey that's flattering! I do have an older video about thumbnails: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWilo4eOespkatE The process is pretty much the same, but I've been trying to focus a lot on super clear photography with very bold/clear text (if any text).
@michaelvosbein75243 ай бұрын
@@tombuck Well, that one is pretty complicate and requires additional software. I would love to see one using just FCP. I usually export a frame I like, then import it back into the timeline then add text and formatting then export that frame to use as a cover thumbnail.

Man, I wish you were a Davinci guy! You make amazing videos but even being a Mac user I can’t see any value in dropping all that money to buy a software package that does what I can do for free.
@tombuck3 ай бұрын
Yeah, Davinci is great! Definitely has its advantages over FCP. But for me, nothing really comes close to the speed and reliability of FCP (at least for a one person team).

@@tombuck hmmm I used to use iMovie I know that was super easy to use maybe it would be worth a shot 😀

I had way too much issues with Davinci resolve on mac but I agree free is much better than buying

This is quite basics for me, I could make even more creative than just the editing like playing with the camera shots something like that. 😁
@tombuck3 ай бұрын
Definitely some more foundational skills, but I always like to think this is the kind of stuff that can help someone start to feel a but more comfortable with Final Cut/editing and then want to dive in more!

I so wish I could delete about 80% of STUFF (Titles and Transition) there just in the way because lets admit most are worthless!
