That video from Noah is a comedy gold mine: The ''only'' evidence TBYS showed is the tumblr post where she ordered it. TBYS, said that a larger youtuber is after him, but she wrote it on tumblr where she has a small following so TBYS lied. Um actually, flaging is not deplatforming it is only part 1 of the process. The thing that bothered me about him basically disregarding the fact that she did ask people to flag his video to get it taken down, is the fact that he says "Well, she posted it on her Tumblr, and her Tumblr only has 2,000 followers. So it's not that bad because it's only a small percent of her subscribers." Like, who cares about that, because she still asked for people to flag the video. 8:04 to me, this segment makes complete sense. In illy's video, she keeps complaining that she's so undesireble and ugly because she is fat, and since being fat is out of her control, she just tries to accept the fact that she's not attractive. TBYS tried (and succeded in my opinion, because she is pretty, actually) to proove to her that is not about her fatness, effectively questioning the need for the video in the first place. There are a couple of reasons why TBYS talks so much about Illy's appearance. The first is that he believes a large part of Illy's support for being fat/not being skinny comes from her unhappiness with her own appearance. Because of that, he talks, at length, about how she can improve her appearance so that she can be more comfortable with the way she is, minus the unhealthy weight. She often picks a lot of really shitty clothing that isn't flattering on her, and her seeming insecurities regarding her appearance could be largely alleviated with a better sense of fashion and self-care. She doesn't need to promote unhealthy eating or comfort with being overweight/obese in order to feel better about herself if she made some changes to the way she presents herself. The second, which he explains in a community post, is that a lot of the criticism he levels at other creators is really a vehicle to give that criticism to his audience. People don't respond well to being directly criticized, so he uses other people as a sort of surrogate for his viewers. It allows them to see the negative aspect being criticized in a more neutral light, where they're more likely to take that criticism to heart. It's an easier way to get critical messages to people so they can change for the better. Regardless of how effective or true either of those sentiments are, that's what he believes and his reasoning for including that segment in the video. It might be a bit weird, but I think it's more reasonable or, at least, understandable with that context.

Listen, it's a truly terrible thing that Illymation got Doxed, and I do mean that sincerely. But that is in no way Sean's fault. He never asked anyone to bully her, and he never criticized her as a person, all he did was point out a particularly bad take and explain how it could be harmful. The difference here is that Illymation specifically asked for her fans to false flag his video. She knowingly weaponized her followers, and what's worse is that this all started because she took a friend's word at face value, without ever viewing the video for herself. I’m a recovering food addict and “food is just food” is recovery language. The idea is taking away the idea of “bad foods” that make us do things like binge in secret. Guilt and shame fuels a lot of that. But obviously when obese or diabetic it doesn’t mean I could just eat a whole ass cake. The idea is to just change your perception of food. It’s hard to explain, but seeing food as FOOD helps me make better choices and eat less (cuz I’m not eating for emotions).

Lol, that's what is so funny about it. Noah fans will scream "out of context, out of context," but even with the "context," Shawn's argument still holds. Personally, I think we SHOULD view foods as "good" or "bad". I totally disagree with the judgment.

3 points I thought about after a while. 1. Everyone keeps saying that her Tumblr account "only" has 2,000 followers and so that somehow means her asking them to brigade his video is okay (even though they did brigade it and it did get taken down anyways) but like, how do we know this post didn't get spread throughout her fanbase? We all know screenshots and word of mouth spread like wildfire through the internet so its entirely possible that Illy's call to action reached way more people than the post itself says. 2. Everyone keeps saying that TBYS influenced his audience to dox Illy by painting her as a liar and threat to her audience, making him responsible. Cant that be applied to Noah and Illy though? They both painted TBYS as a liar, harrasser, and a creep, so would that not also in turn influence their audiences to go against him? We even have proof of it working in Illy's case. What would've happened if one of Illy's/Noah's fans were so enraged by her Tumblr post/Noah's video that they went out and doxxed TBYS? Would Noah or Illy suddenly be responsible then? This isnt just a what-if either, TYBS getting doxed is still perfectly capable of happening. 3. About KZbinr responsibility, lets go back to something that happened a couple months ago. When Hbomberguy made his video exposing James Sommerton for being a plagiarist, James made an announcement that he was going to end himself. Did people blame Hbomberguy? No. So why is TBYS responsible in this situation? Because TBYS was mean and said things you disagree with? Both situations ended up with someone getting potentially hurt, so I don't see how that would matter.

The cut part actually helps and he shouldve left it in. "Unless you have a dietary restriction..." eating whatever you want can lead to you having a dietary restriction

TBYS's fashion bashing is actually an important part of his video style, it's not meant to be mean or even be directed at the person, it's there to get you, the viewer to be more aware of your own fashion choices. It's actually one of my favorite parts of his videos because it's honestly just really good advice.

Crazy how he got the issue completely backwards, taking issue with illymation being harassed, even though it was not TBYS intent. While illymation got TYBS video taken down by actually requesting her audience to harass and mass flag TYBS. Noah is so stupid he completely mixrf up his talking points. Bad faith at its finest
