Thank you Tom for every Byron video. I attended the 2005 Byron wheel stand competition live in person. It is a one of a kind event. One really cool track....😊

Awesome, you went to one before I ever heard about this event. I started going in 2012. I live 3 hours away from that track but every year I get excited when October comes around. My favorite event to goto for sure!

Back when Bigfoot 2 and Bearfoot were the only Monster Trucks out there , my step dad and mom had an engineering company that made equipment for Alaska. During rough times after getting sued by Caterpillar for our “Cat Tracks” ( likely after a Kingdome show where we put them on a Truck Puller rig ) we built Santanimal for Santana Trucking . My step dad proposed a wheelie truck with Hydraulic powered wheels and hidden block of steel in bed and another in rear “Aluminum “ bumper”. Hydraulics moved the block on a track until the truck would rise up and sit on the rear wheelie bars . You could shut it off and leave it that way , easier oil drain . The Truck also had a 427 and used twin hydraulic pumps for left and right wheels to move with joysticks like a tank. You could barely turn it so wasn’t very useable. Each wheel had a German hydraulic unit that was fed with 2” hydraulic hoses by aeroquip. Loud truck , think it was a Ford F-250 camper special and made cover of Peterson’s 4 wheel and Off-road magazine in the 80’s. I sure wonder how different things had gone had we had the internet and smartphones back when we were still using Rolodex (ask grandpa) and phone books .

That's what makes this such a special event, they try to make them look like stock appearing cars and have everything in the general area where it should be. It cannot be easy to do.
@dennyporter131519 күн бұрын
Man I mis Byron1 I think it was 2011, maybe 2010, not sure, the Gremlin flipped it completely over on its top from torque, about 100 feet out. The black 60 Impala was one of my favorites also, and the High and Wild chevy 2 Nova. Does Pastor Randy Hienzworth still Chaplin out there?

another ridiculous unsanctioned event, people crowding the starting line, and even a child running loose on the track. This is unsafe and stupid. the tracks insurance should be canceled.
