Eden is genuinely the only artist that I am still listening to nearly 5 years later after I discovered him, he is in a genre of his own. I can't even describe his music when I tell people about him because it's so unique. A lot of the sounds that he puts into his songs are literally noises that he's recorded on his phone. I was meant to see him live in Amsterdam in March but it got cancelled the day before :/ He sounds even more incredible live, it's not even like you're at a gig, it's literally like watching a theatrical show. They are put together so well.

If you pay attention to the lyrics in wake up, that cut to nothing for "her" to say "who says you're one in a million? you're so much better than that." are 100% deserving of that cut. The whole rest of the song, their strife for a better life, argueing about it, about them, comes to a climax at the chorus's after "shes" said things like "your words mean nothing to me" and "ive been watching you changing" all to "who said you're one in a million, anyway?", as if it's this final emotional jab where they fracture, her rephrasing something probably said in love earlier in the relationship, words that meant the world to him. And so when it cuts there and reveals that that is not the final straw, but a dive into a deeper and more forgiving love than ever before, it's so healing, heartwarming after all the chorus's ending the heartbreaking version of that line.

I’d say little noises everywhere sums up Eden pretty well. Lol. One of the things I love is if you know more of his other songs and listen to Wake Up closely, during the last chorus you can hear the lyrics from his other songs starting from the right channel and then more coming into left before everything stops.
