Tom, I've watched all of your videos recently and really enjoy watching you teach. Your spoken music theory lesson was probably my favorite...had me smiling ear to ear. If you can't play one note with feel 1000 notes isn't going to help you. I'm a shredder for sure but in my personal experience most of them seem to be, more often than not, practicing incorrectly and/or playing/jamming uninspired. It can be disheartening at times, yes, but it just seems to fuel my fire more and more. I'd like to say thanx brother for doing a solid job... ...oh and btw...this lesson reminded me of the great economy/speed picker George Bellas. That guy is crazy good at accuracy and efficiency as well as feel and musical chromatics.

I enjoy Tom Hess lessons. some of them are too short and could explain in detail a bit more but still better than most others on KZbin. Wonder if Tom Hess can upload vids of how a regular day for his practise schedule is just to explain better what he means with designing a flexibly schedule and I would like to see more on applying exercises into your playing and proper techniques for sweep picking, legato and etc. I atm for example struggle to incorporate theory, scales and chords together and techniques. and how to break scale shapes as well.

Hey Tom! im left handed but i've been playing righthanded for 13-14 years and i've had the worst right hand technique all this time ,where i can't play over 120 bpm (16th notes). When i try your exercise in the video it feels like can't get passed that 115-120 mark even tho i focus on making the motion smaller..Do you think i've fucked up my righthand for life.. or is there still hope if i keep at it with your exercise?
