Thank you very much, I used your technique to clean the injector! for years my wife has been eating my head about getting it fixed. I thought it might have been easier to change my wife than the hob but thanks to you, I was wrong. Now I need a story to tell her, it was very difficult dearest, It took me all day.

Excellent video. Any tips for an ignitor that clicks and sometimes lights (1 in 100) even after I've cleaned and checked everything on your video and others? Is it a duff ignitor control thing? The oven is a Canon Chichester and is about 15 years old but in great condition otherwise.

What is an injector? An injector is an electromechanical system in a car that is involved in the formation of air/fuel mixture. This term refers to a fuel injector that injects fuel, but also refers to a fuel system with multiple atomizers. The injector works on all types of fuel, thanks to which it is used on diesel, gasoline and gasoline engines. In the case of gasoline and gas equipment, the fuel system will be identical (thanks to this, it is possible to install LPG equipment on them to combine air and gas). The principle for gas stoves is the injector, an air feed to get the right flame identical, only it works under a certain pressure that is mixed with the gas.

Great video. I have bought an old mobile home which I've moved into. I tested the gas water heater which was only tested a few months ago and that works fine. The problem is with the gas cooker. I turned one of the knobs and the gas started coming out but when I turned the knob back to off position, the gas kept coming out. I had to run out and turn off the valve on the propane tank and haven't touched it since after. After looking at your video, would I be correct in saying that the graphite grease may completely dry and preventing the valve from shutting off or am I barking up the wrong tree? I have asked 4 local registered gas installers to have a look but they said it'll be months before they get a chance to call out. I am badly in need of the cooker. Thanks I appreciate your feedback and loved the video. Great detail 👍

does a new gas hob have to be hard wired or can the ignition be put on a plug?, been watching a few of your videos as i need a new one, i found the videos interesting though i dont meddle with gas just like knowing how my stuff works.
@mark.e.p3 жыл бұрын
This is exactly what I am looking for. I have a problem with the ignition, sometimes it's on permanently and sometimes it doesn't come on at all? Each of the gas knobs has it's own spark I don't have one common one.

Hi I’ve got an issue with my Gas Hob, when cleaning it one day a lot of water got into the igniter switch and I believe that it shorted out so I’ve replaced the igniter switch, and I still don’t get any ignition spark. I haven’t been able to check the plug which may be a blown fuse but I don’t know where the power outlet is in my kitchen for the hob any ideas or suggestions?

10:37 - If I had a Quid for every carburettor jet I've cleaned out in a similar way..... :-) BUT, us 'ruffty-tuffty' vehicle mechanics used to SUCK the crap out of the jet (apparently, you get more 'ooomph' rather than blowing!) and then the job was a good 'un! No cans of 'namby-pamby' compressed air 'when I were a lad!' ;-) Of course, Petrol - the good old 4 star at least - is apt to taste better than stale cooking fat!... ;-)
