I'm so glad you are feeling better. You sounded much better and clearly you enjoyed putting this video together. I really liked the pairings and hopefully I will be able to try some of them after we move which will be in a month or so. I really fell in love with some of the fabrics you chose, but my husband would go crazy if I bought more fabric while I'm packing all of the fabric I now have! LOL. Need to keep the peace for now...but just wait until I unpack everything and then I will be back at it! Thanks so much and again it's so good to see you feeling more like yourself again! P.S. We ended up with 8" of snow from the same storm in our part of Chicago.

Thanks Whitney. You've given us lots of good ideas. The fabric you had picked for the Bert top I used for the dress in Butterick 6388. I made it slightly longer and wear it with boots and tights for winter. I made it in a rust and got the fabric from Spotlight here in New Zealand. It sews up well and looks really nice sewn up. Nice to hear you mention the Fabric Store. I have shopped online from them but have never had the opportunity to shop instore until December when I had to make a rushed trip to Auckland. Oh my I was there for ages and punished my credit card!! Because I was flying they couriered it for me free of charge. Take care.

Another great video! Thank you for including the big 4. Yes in the US we can get those on the sales at JoAnn and Hobby Lobby really cheap. I also love that you go over how to hack the patterns to create the look. Love the McCall's 8889 as I have a rayon border print with about 3 yards and really wide. Might be able to tweak that pattern for the boho style midi dress I am thinking of. I had not considered shirring on puff sleeves and waist. I hope you are feeling better. Thank you Whitney for putting all your time and effort into these videos. Although I live on the other side of the planet from you, it is still great to see what ideas for sewing a winter wardrobe. At the moment here in Australia, Spotlight are having a Vogue pattern sale, which means 2 Vogue patterns for $12 (I get a further discount being a "Spotlight VIP"), believe me, I have had a bit of a 'spend up' of Vogue patterns, I just love them. When I was younger and I was sewing I loved the Vogue patterns but they were so expensive compared to the other pattern companies (that was in the day when 'Style' patterns were still around...) It is so good to see you up and about and feeling so much better. Lots of love to Gidget (the lovely girl.....)

Another inspiring video! Such great ideas! I had no idea that the Tamarack had an expansion pack. That’s what I used last year when I made my quilt coat. I added a hood but ended up hacking another pattern to work with it. I kept wondering what you made with your flamingo sweatshirt fabric. I ended up making a page hoodie right before the snow hit. I didn’t want to take it off. 😂 Looking forward to your Concord boat neck hack. Thank you so much for doing these videos. I don’t know if you even realize how helpful they are. ❤️

Love the patterns you picked for the make the look. And, I just downloaded the Tamarack jacket not 2 weeks ago. I want to make two of these. One I am making with a large print mid-century modern fabric from upholstery fabric and it will be custom quilted by me. Without the hood. Then I have some super nice thick wool to make the hooded version. I hate cold so I will measure the hood and make it a “blizzard hood” so it comes forward past my face more. I have not decided if I will use a button or Velcro to hold back the extended part when not in the wind or ‘blizzard’ conditions. Love, love your picks and recommendations. I will take a peek at a couple of the new patterns from the indie pattern companies you mentioned. And I just received the latest newsletter from Linton Tweeds this morning. Wow! I fell in love with a couple of the latest tweeds. Thank you Whitney. Love your channel!

Thank you for this roundup! I enjoy watching these, as there are bound to be patterns you've included from companies I'm not familiar with. I've signed up for Love Notions' newsletters, so with this morning's email, you were my first stop! I plan on getting this one as I've got mostly lightweight knits left, as this pattern would be ideal for most of them, Thanks again 😁Glad you're feeling better!

You should have a look at Minerva. They ship free internationally for purchase over 50 GBP . In order to figure out exchange rate, I always just pop my total into google and it will give me the total in USD. That just helps when deciding how much money I want to spend 😂.
