The crawler look good and performed well. I think the area you use to test your crawlers may be as close to perfect as possible. You have amazing rocks, water and mud. I realize at different times of the year there is possible less mud and water. I enjoyed your test run and clean up tips.

Hey T. Here is a quick and cleaner lubricating tip. Try using spray graphite. Its an aerosol can but it sprays graphite which is a dry material. so it has fantastic lubrication qualities and its dry and easy to apply so not as messy.

Or dry lube, initially a spray and liquid it crawls into every crack and then dries. I use the one I bought for my mountainbike chain.

Very similar cleaning procedure as I do. I remove the body and wheels and toss those in the sink to rinse them last. Then I take my airbrush with air-compressor to remove any dirt from the chassis and a hairdryer to dry up all the moisture. And maybe take a paper towel and some q-tips in some of the tiny crevices to be sure. Then I grease up any mechanical bits with a white lithium grease which is water repellent. Then I just clean the body and wheels under tap with an old dish washing brush if needed.

The one thing I'm not a fan of is getting foams dried out. I used to leave wheels sealed up, but performance suffers. Dual stage foams are way to expensive to let them go bad....however vented tires, chucked in a drill at high speed....most of the water comes out. But when I have certain wheels on, water just is not allowed. Not going to trash 50$ steel wheels and 40$ worth of dual stage foam to play in a puddle. Heck I really don't even like sticking most trucks in any mud at all, yes electronics are waterproof, but bearings get expensive after a while.

Another great smaller scale crawler. Element certainly make great cars. And we have something in common, hating stupid body pins!! I either swap them out of the Arrma type, with the rubber straps, but they don't look great, or bend the loop part of the pin up a bit, so I can get my sausage fingers in and pull the stupid things off!! 😆

I own a samurai so I plan on getting one of these, I am one of the people kinda bothered by its scale but that mostly has to do with me owning a RC4WD Trail finder 2 85 4Runner as my main crawler so I like to keep everything around its scale. I used to own a 85 4runner as my daily driver before losing it in a fire last year so owning it in RC makes me happy, so I deff want to get this to match my full size sammy

I just seal up the receiver box with some silicone sealant for use in aquariums just to be sure. Just put a bit around any place water could possibly get in, like holes and the edge of the lid. The sealant isn't an adhesive but will seal it up nicely so you can still easily take it apart. Just be sure to seal it up again when taking it apart. It might not look great, but it works a treat.
