Chris Farley's death is the first celebrity deaths that actually affected me and I grew up on this film and absolutely loved it then, and I still love it now. Although Black Sheep isn't as good, there are several scenes including the cabin scene and bunk bed scene (I won't say more than that), that are absolutely hilarious in that movie.

Farley and spade were the original choices for shrek and donkey in the shrek movies but farley passed before that came to fruition in fact most of farleys dialog was already recorded for shrek but they scrapped it

Chris Farley was suppose to be in "Grown Ups" but when he died they put it on the back burner for like a decade then they got Kevin James to play his part. An Farley was the initial voice of Shrek (which he did some voice overs before he died but since he died it went to Mike Myers)

I consider this an unofficial SNL movie, even though it wasn't based on a sketch. Farley and Spade were still on the cast, flying between Toronto and NYC every week to film both. It was produced by Lorne Michaels, and written by the same writers as Wayne's World and Coneheads.

I'm SO GLAD you chose Tommy Boy!! No, it may not be the most realistic of movies, but it doesn't pretend to be; That's what makes it hilarious (the obviously fake moths, the deer, the clumsy editing outside the airplane restroom). This is also one of the few movies that I can watch over and over and not get sick of it. Also, I don't drink but if I did, I'd take a shot every time you say STFU. 😂 Stay funny and thanks for making my day yet again.

Automobile Enthusiast Fact: The convertible is a 1967 Plymouth GTX with a 440 engine and Cragar SS wheels. Location Location Fact: The house used at the beginning of the movie and in the wedding scene is the McLaughlin home, which was owed by Col. Sam McLaughlin founder of GM Canada. Toupee Gag Fact: David Spade refused to let the set's stylist work on his hair. This accounts for his hair's tousled appearance in the film. Crew members would joke that his hair looked like a toupee, and that is what led to the gag where Richard's hair flies back which was a late addition to the film. David Spade's bald makeup took four hours to apply. After the film came out, people would walk up to David Spade and ask him if that's his real hair. Casting Notes Fact: Rob Lowe played the supporting role of Tommy's stepbrother and is uncredited. The reason for this is because he wanted to be a "happy surprise" after the script shifted focus (the film was originally centered around the relationship between Tommy and Paul). Rob was playing tennis with Lorne Michaels, and Lorne told him that he was about to start Tommy Boy (1995) and that he was considering him to play Chris Farley's brother. Tommy’s father was in First Blood (Rambo) he was the sheriff that was harassing Rambo in the small town. This movie is a gem and still holds up to this day as a comedy classic. Farley and Spade were magic together, if you haven’t seen it, when you have the time check it out and watch SNL Matt Foley motivational speaker there is one with spade and Farley did all he could to get Spade to break on live TV. Farley was a GOAT. RIP to a legend, also there is a special called I Am Chris Farley and it is documentary about Chris’s life the good and bad times.

23:38 - I had the hood slam open on me when I was traveling from high school to welding school as a teen. I was in an old 4 cylinder Nissan truck, and the hood latch was broken and held down with a rubber cord. I was angry thinking about my dad being angry towards me earlier that morning when I dropped him off at work. So on a straight stretch of single lane highway, I saw that there wasn't any cops, so I stomped on the gas. I probably got up to about 90mph, and a dump truck approached in the opposite lane. At the last second, I remembered the hood being held by the rubber cord. So I let off the gas and started on the brake as the dump truck passed. The initial wind from the dump truck caused the hood to slightly open, but close. So I was briefly relieved that the cord held, until another larger gust of wind followed and slammed the hood against the windshield. I immediately hit the brakes. I thought I heard something and looked into the sideview mirrors and saw a cloud of smoke behind me from me locking my brakes. So I let off the brakes. I couldn't see anything as I continued to fly down the straight stretch, so I tried to keep it as straight as I could, and rolled down my window and stuck my head out. Then I pulled off on a nearby dirt road and closed the hood. The hood hinges were mangled and the windshield was cracked, and the tires had a flat surface from locking my brakes. But thankfully I was okay. Lol

There was a real life incident on set of "Tommy Boy". Apparently Chris Farley and David Spade got into a physical altercation. Chris wasn't feeling well when he arrived in Toronto, so David invited Rob Lowe out for a drink, Farley found out the next morning and in a jealous rage annoyed David constantly by staring at him very angrily until they ended up in a fist fight.
