Tommy cooper will forever be a comedy legend,from the tricks that didnt work,his stage presence,the simple but wonderful gags he told,he could walk on stage and not say a word and the audience were already tittering,how many so called comedians in this day and age can do that? And with all this pc rubbish nowadays,tommy did no rude jokes,no filth but he had the audience in the palm of his hand from start to finish,RIP comedy legend Tommy.

It was hard to believe, that throughout his long illustrious career in entertainment, Tommy was petrified, that one day the audience would stop laughing at his unique comedy. He would spend hours perfecting his routine, and drink heavily in the process, just incase something went wrong, or the performance did not go down well with the audience. We are still laughing today, and no doubt those in heaven are being entertained by one of the finest stage acts to come out of the clubs of working class Britain

well actually he was surely the greatest Magician stroke comedian , can you name one who was equal ?
@davidsewellclarke49975 жыл бұрын
@@terryanddominic Not really, can you ? But he was a member of the Magic Circle , and decided after people laughed at some of his tricks , he put comedy into his act . It all started as he was serving with the British Army in Cario after being called up as a trooper in the Royal Horse Guards in 1940 , serving for 7 years. He was a Desert Rat with Montgomerys Desert Rats . The reason why he wore a Fez he was wearing a Pith Helmet , ( Army head gear due to the Sun in hot countries ) He had forgotten said helmet and while on stage he pinched a Fez off a passing waiter . The audience laughed , and that's where his act started. He was my Late Fathers favourite.
