I don't know why most people don't like power metal, but they missed a lot of great music! Me personally i love power metal, it's my all time favorite genre of music! I don't care about popularity.

Actually the CD came 1982 in Europe and USA. Green day started 1986. I worked in a hifi shop 83 and we had a demo cd with a bunch of songs from different artists. Roxy music - Avalon was one of the songs. And i think it was a Philips cd player.
