I was 12 in 1986 as well. I had this on vinyl, and we had to go to my dad’s friends house to use his stereo to put it on tape. Anyone else remember having to do stuff like that?

I love the 80s theme of this video it takes me back to when I was 13 and glued to MTV watching music.. Tommy truly is a creative genius ❤ now I’ll have to watch the movie again after all these years 😂 Thanks OSN for a touching reaction 😊 I had a similar experience with bullying being a redhead it was horrible at times but still I think the world was nicer then in some ways.. Another great reaction. I was just starting college in 1986 when Transformers The Movie came out. It was very powerful seeing Optimus Prime die. I loved the Stan Bush songs. I was amazed that Tommy was going to cover The Touch. WHAT A RENDITION!! Tommy has a fan for life here I'm deep south Texas and I will keep passing on my love of Tommy's songs to my English classes going forward. Keep up the great reactions. I am always finding new groups through your reactions. If you nail next week's cover, you really need to go to Vegas with that kind of lucky streak going...

I am a bit older than you but I was a skinny nerd in the early 80's. I was bullied and was a musician (Piano, guitar and trumpet) and if it wasn't for fellow band nerds I think I would not have made it. AD&D was an escape for me that I dearly miss. Yes, the hardcover manuals and the dice with my character on paper. I had a feeling when I saw the die as part of your logo. Anyway, thank you for the reaction and comments. My wife is from Sweden and she grew up with the members of the Tonta Rockers which Tommy covered and he actually responded to her comment. Keep rockin' my friend.

Aaaaaaaah!!! Gods, this just hits my nostalgia nerve so perfectly. I love this song and am a huge Transformers fan, and to hear Tommy sing it was absolutely amazing! I'd love to hear his take on Dare, too, at some point. (Although now I have to wonder what he'd do with Dare To Be Stupid. XD) Also, I absolutely loved hearing you talk about Transformers and seeing your figures. =D

OSN, since you're my age. I'm going to spoil something for you, although you probably already know this. OP wasn't the first one to die. They (Hasbro) got the idea of killing off OP and the original lineup by first killing off Duke from GI Joe. That's where it came from. The Duke line of toys wasn't selling well, so they introduced Hawk, and started on the GI Joe movie first and completed it, fully with Duke's death by a snake javelin to the heart. Production timelines screwed up everything though (the My Little Pony Movie was also in production) and because of that, they missed the theater deadline for GI Joe: The Movie. The My Little Pony movie came out first, followed by Transformers: The Movie. From the backlash of that, they had to cancel the theater release of the GI Joe movie, reopen production, and add in the lines that Duke went into a coma instead of dying, then came out of it at the end of the movie. a year later, the GI Joe movie went straight to home video. But yeah.. thank GI Joe for killing off Optimus Prime! Back to the video. 4 notes into the video, and I'm closing my eyes and immediately picturing Rodimus Prime opening the matrix and saying "..and light our darkest hour!" That's what it brings me back to, instantly! And forget the background: I'm loving the crackling as if you're adjusting a VHS tape in the VCR! that's classic!!
