Completely different from Edberg. He strikes hard from the baseline then comes to the net. Pure serve and volley hasn't really been working since the early 2000s. Plus he doesn't have Edberg's elegance, even though elegance doesn't win you titles ofc

Tommy Paul and the USA camp threw this match - it was all preordained from when he was up 3-0 up in the 1st set 40-30 on serve - that was the call to start tanking. You can see it for yourselves: Paul missed the easiest net shot and smashed it towards the White House. If Tommy played the whole match like the first 3 games this would have only seen 3 sets with Shelton lucky to get 6-9 games at best. Wonder how much the big boys running the huge punters houses handed over 😂
