Most of these were originally for those things but after the government basically labeled them as crime organizations. Most of them lead to violence and drugs. Look at the GD's they were going to form legit businesses in Chicago. They even tried buying a whole apartment building to help black people in Chicago in the mid 1900s, but the group got raided by the feds and they dismantled the group causing them to basically resort to illegal activities. Since even when they were trying to do good, they labeled as criminals. So why not act like what they think u are.

hey I feel this, I grew up in a bad spot in Detroit, I had amazing parents, but we was so dam poor they tried and tried but couldn't get us out the hood. im also 30, and man when my parents first moved on that block it was mixed of blacks and whites, by the time I was born we was the only white family in the nborhood. So ever since a youngin I felt like I had to really prove my self being the only white boy. Thankfully I was friends with the whole block, everyones parent knew mine, so we all grew up together, but at 14 my dad died in my arms of a heart attack, 1 month later me and my best friend was walking down the street and some ppl pulled up started shooting I watched my best friend get his brains blown out. After that I was lost, I had never even been outside my city, I literally thought this is life, life a war zone. By 19 I was shot twice and stabbed, and started going to other places, I seen cities 10 minutes away I didn't even know existed, and after losing so many friends, and causing so much chaos my self. I decided to get a job and start being the man my mom and dad raised me to be, felt bad for letting my mom down after my dad died, but I been out the streets for 10 years now living a good life working everyday I now take care of my mom, I stepped up and helped my sister raise my fatherless nephews. The only thing im stuck dealing with is ptsd I use to think only soldiers could get that but my therapist made a good point she said just bcuz someone isn't over seas doesn't mean their not in a war zone, I get legit flashbacks and shit and have to see a therapist regularly. Btw im so sorry for the long post y'all, this video hit something in me and made me reflect and remember how I use to be, I aint looking for no dam sympathy or praise or anything just sharing my story. Much love y'all, stay safe, and if any youngins read this just remember it don't matter what your hood thinks bout you, its your family and closest friends that matter, my closest homies respect me for doing what I did to get out...

You gonna fight over a beef started cuz your uncles cousins nephews second cousin by marriages got shot by another dudes uncles boys cousin twice removed? Then I said you always saying no one can tell you what to do but you answer to a dude? How you homophobic serve a dude. Gangs and gang bangers I’ve met and been around no matter the race are the opposite of everything they claim. They not loyal, they not killers cuz they don’t even practice their craft they’ll just unload a gun they never practice with as many times as they can into an area hitting whatever hoping one gets their target and forget the rest, they are lazy and chose that life cuz they don’t want to actually work. They will claim I’m gonna work for someone but they listen to another dude, they were born into when family they always get told not to join especially by family members were in gangs,and are the biggest scared dudes or they’d be able to talk to someone without shooting or fight if you need to not shoot. I remember one night about 4-5 years ago I was in this neighborhood & had a heart stopping close call. I was picking up this girl on 24th and Pulaski(Two Six neighborhood) but she wasn’t ready to come out yet so I was just gonna do a wide loop around the neighborhood to kill 5-10min, it was around midnight at the time. I’d go through that area a lot and never had any issues, always in a car and just passing through. Well I did my loop and the street I decided to turn down to head back was Drake which is like 9-10 blocks east of where i started. The street is one-way and cars are parked on both sides so it’s right plus u can’t go fast cuz there are usually two big speed bumps one every block. It looked like no one was outside as I kept going down the street. Im just going straight for a few blocks waiting to make my turn on 24th but it’s slow cuz I have to keep braking for the speed bumps. As I go to slow down for another speed bump I blink & all of a sudden a guy pops out from in between the cars & is now right in front of my car pointing the gun at me through the windshield. It happened so fast I didn’t even know how to react or what the right reaction would be. The car is stopped & both my hands are on the wheel & the guy is still right in front of the car with the gun pointed at me and hasn’t said a word. After maybe 4-5 seconds pass he lowers the gun and steps off to the side of the street where he originally came from. No words or even any gestures were even exchanged between us. Once he stepped aside I just pulled off and could finally think again. After I drove off I put it together that he was likely security for the block & was trying to catch anyone from a different gang passing through(this was a Latin King block). I know this, if that guy wanted me dead I would’ve been and I’m so glad I didn’t resemble anyone he was on the lookout for. He would’ve been able to let off a few shots before I even had time to react

I believe I told this story on your 1st visit with the LK's from Chicago. I'm in WI also. I got locked up when I was 20 for drugs and had to sit 26 months in prison. Over my time there I didn't have too many troubles as I am 6'2" and have a strong build. However, I was in when smoking was banned for all prisons. I had a friend that was Native American and he was allowed pipe tobacco for religious reasons. So I got some from him and we'd make pinner cigs (super skinny) and there was a group of GD Folk that took offense to that saying I was "stepping on their market" and were threatening me. When I first went in you go through intake and you sit with 1 cellmate. He was a LK from Chicago. We became good friends and when he heard I was getting threatened by GD they had my back and ended up beefing with them. Well the LK had the numbers and the fierce reputation and I was no longer alone as they said that I was cool with them. I stayed in touch with a few of them after getting out and we partied a bit. They were truly good people but like in their responses here, this is the life they chose. To this day they still have my respect!

@alexandergunaka666Ай бұрын
@ Armed robberies are usually against other gangs right? Being in the wrong place at the wrong time doesn’t matter if you’re affiliated. There’s actual parts around Chicago if you are not from there you’re getting checked. Period. You not just walking freely in a lot of areas without some introducing them and checking what you on and who you with. I also said the video played it up hard especially with them goofys. Those are the flake bangers. They aren’t battling dudes a block over either. They battling with their mom about doing something with their life, the cops not mess with them because standing in the street aimlessly is their activity of choice, and they just talk shit. That’s how they really get shot, not gang affiliation. They can’t shut their mouth and actually not look for gang trouble they look for any type of trouble cuz they’re on the spectrum. I’ve known too many dudes just like them. Anyone can claim they’re a gang. Just wait til the real ones come see you. They’re not real kings acting like that. They’d have an older calmer leader and they wouldn’t be posted up in the street flashlighting cars. So no I’m not affiliated. I’ve just been around and seen everything from the real to the fakes. I’m not sure what part of out west you are chilling in either. Out west could mean a lot. I’m right by the wild hundreds. That don’t narrow down where I’m at at all.

I was doing this dumb shit in Humboldt Park over 30 years ago. I'm 53 now and don't miss a single day of any of it. Grateful I walked away when I did.

One thing I don't understand is how can you call on God or ask for forgiveness when you are doing the same thing and doing sin in this world and Chitown has been crazy since the 90's and even when Al Capone was alive ! All I see is Raza killing Raza and Blacks killing Black!

Crazy they’re showing their car, where their homies are buried, and where they regularly congregate outside of their protected areas. These dudes really are the ones truly running Chicago these days.

It's always hope only GOD knows when they will embrace, it's all tribalism and a lowkey genocide, on Black and Brown people😢 and we are DIRECT Descendants of the 12 Tribes of Israel the REAL children of GOD🥹

My husband used to be like you, never a gang member but fully accepted by them, including Latin Kings. I am thankful he is no longer in that kind of life, for a long time now. Tommy, you and your crew are brave. I live less than 5 mins from the IL/IN border, in Hammond and see this in real time. You're real brave.
