Fitting CD Motors has transformed how these Lima Locos run.

Hi Tim, The Deltic is amazingly quiet, I never thought it would run so well even with a CD Motor. The Class 50 is also fairly quiet so very happy how these Lima Locos turned out in their new livery. Have a great week, all the best, Paul.👍👍🙏

Hi Erik, I was surprised how these 4 Lima Locos were in quite good condition for the price. The CD Motors are a great improvement to the running and well worth around 14 pounds each. I like when someone gives me advice like when you suggested painting the connecting rods its made a big difference how the Shunter looks. Its a shame you dont have a bigger layout then you could run some of the larger Trains. I like what you have done with your layouts they have a lot of detail. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏

In my head, the Deltic carries a Scottish nameplate because it hauls cross-country services from south Wales and Cornwall via Bristol to Scotland ;)

Hi Paul I think those Lima locos look wonderful!They run like a dream too.THe paint jobs are great.I think it might have been me you were talking about regarding prices.I will tell you something now,I can easily afford those high priced locos,but to me they are not worth the money.I would rather have those Lima Locos any day.I think you do brilliantly keeping the older models running Paul I really do 👍✌️😊

Hi Michael, Yes it was you I was refering to about Loco prices. I have paid high prices for my 2 DCC Locos some years ago but never again. I am very pleased how these 2 Lima Diesels turned out, I was expecting some negative comments about not liking the BR blue liverys but so far all the remarks are positive. As I mentioned I bought 4 Locos for 80 pounds and even after fitting CD motors they were around 35 pounds each. I already had the Vallejo paints and decals. I have one more from the 4 I bought that I am finishing and hope to show it on Sunday, its in its origional livery so just highlighting some details and a CD motor change. Man I know how you feel with the eyesight problems. I have had to buy magnification glasses to help with the finer detail. They are a great help though. I like the end results though, you are right, green looks much better than blue. Thoseocos have come up really well. I'm looking at my blue class 8 at the moment. It looks hollow and faded, I might see if I can detail it up a bit. Maybe even weather it a tad. Steven.

Hi Steven, I have bifocal glasses but lately my vision has not been very good close up. I bought 4 Diesels 3 of them were in BR blue but had decided to change the livery to green as blue does not suit my layouts period. I am so happy how they turned out and how they run so well with 12v CD motors. Lima Locos have quite good detailing, the change from blue to green has brought these out very nicely. I have one more Diesel from the 4 that has its origional livery, it just needs a new CD motor and a good clean. I will show this one next Sunday and compare it with another similar Lima Diesel. Hi, good question, I would not paint an MT Diesel in brown its not my favorite color for a Loco. Howver my GWR Railcar in brown and cream looks great as does my Class 73 Pullman Diesel in the same livery. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
