Hi Tomo, can you enlighten me how to properly use pentatonic..? I mean, how do I know which shape I’m on right now..? I am the type of guy that when I listen to a chord, I jump straight away to the note I have on my mind.. but then after hitting the first note, I struggle to hit the 2nd note on my mind because I don’t know which pentatonic shape I am on… 🤔
@TomoFujitaMusic
@TomoFujitaMusic 10 ай бұрын
Normally I suggest my students to avoid that shapes! I teach them notes and sounds. Then different fingerings (choices) not shapes. So that you need to learn Major Triads & Minor Triads. Triads are so good!

try going to minor on the 4 chord and back to major on the root ....it's easy and fun to play between the two when you find the right link that suits your style

Love how you go up and down one string when showing pentatonic minor or mixolydian scales. The idea isn't new, and have practice that way, occasionally, but this really made it clear in a way I've not experienced before. Tyvm
