This is from an Osaka-Nagoya-Tokyo mini-tour Hotei did in 2009, performing before fanclub members. The drummer Nakamura and bassist Tokie are two of Japan's best players, supporting a long list of great rockers and playing together in Nakamura's unit Losalios.

Thank you Old Mr B. This is my first of your Tomoyasu Hotei videos. He's new to me. He's really, really, good! His guitar tone reminds me of old, 'back in the day' guitarists. Maybe you can remember who? I got a bit of Bill Nelson (Be Bop Deluxe), but I don't think that's it. The crowd singing along was great fun, adding to the vibe. 😄 Plus your comments about the bass caused me to watch again (my headphones need a bit more volume for the bass). TOKIE is the great bassist. She was the member of RIZE about 20 yerars ago. The original member of RIZE are JESSE(vo,guitar), TOKIE(bass) and NOBUAKI KANEKO(drums). They played so brutal and so powerful. The next live performance is my favorite. "KAMINARI"(live music clip at 12/2 2000) by RIZE official You Tube channel(SMEJ) KAMINARI means the thunder. I like the strong beat of drums.
