I wish I knew about these last year, I'm not a plumber by any stretch of the imagination but I managed with the standard fittings I still got it done with copious amounts of ptfe tape , but still no leaks, because I found it impossible to accurately gauge depth of the fittings I did resort to making an adaptor to fit the covers in a drill chuck so I could file them down evenly a couple of mil as they spun,

Use these shower fixing kits all the time there fool proof. Good tip with the compression nut👍

Thanks Tom. Must admit when I read Wetfinger's description on your forum (there's a free plug ;-) ) I didn't follow what he meant. But seeing it is like a picture paints a thousand words................. Thanks too to Wetfinger for the Top Tip.
