Pump proving switch or the diaphragm? Board won't send 240 to the fan unless the pump proving switch makes. New main boiler is excellent tom I've fitted about 7 of these main eco compacts same boiler as the baxi 600/800 just rebadged with different filling loop

Was going to say similar, on some boilers the pressure diaphragm micro switch has both NO and NC connections used so it needs to prove there is no pressure before the fan starts before it reads there is pressure, this is in case the micro switch is stuck in the on position and gives a false positive.

All of which makes a nonsense out of claims new boilers save the planet, as they don’t last and use up a ton of resources in parts, service technicians’ travel & manufacturing/transporting new replacement boilers every 10 years. Meanwhile my old boiler has needed two thermocouples in 40 years, and I use less gas than anyone I know.

The world's superpowers are setting off depleted uranium bombs and we're supposed to sit at home with a bag for life and a special light bulb? (I pinched that last line offa the Aussie comic, Steve Hughes) When the world's billionaires start selling off their beach front properties, at a loss, I may well buy into this cockamamy idea. Until then, I'll reserve the right to be sceptical. Reyt, what's it to be? More Orwell or some Ayn Rand?
