@@rangeraficionado87 To an extent.. He could have just tacked on the body and called it a day. But he took time to make tubs and floor etc. So it's kinda done right.. Just not to any kind of standard. Lol

Don’t forget Tom, when you weld thin metal you reeeeeaaally want to make sure you blow holes through the metal as often as possible, to let more air come in and cool the weld off before continuing.

“ The Bob Ross of self tappers” that pretty much sums up my fabrication skills right there. Great video 👍 hope to see some patina on the fastback, and a crossover with VGG.

I would weld some rails from a small 90 degree angle iron on the underside of the big flat trunk plate.. it would stop it from resonating /rattling. Like some already said a bead roller would have done a nice job.

You can use foil tape and run it around the inside of the floor pan lip edges, then you can cut cardboard roughly the size of the outline you made out of foil tape and then tape the cardboard material to the top of the foil tape outline, when you remove the cardboard panel it will have the perfect outline that youre trying to achieve and you can then trace that onto your metal sheeting, just a tip thats worked for me.
