The funniest part is that engine the dohc vtec b18 is basically a little race engine you can drive everyday and do anything too its such a well made engine but its small as shit so its still not that fast stock. I used to not understand until i drove something like that and it was so fun, I'd still drive toms other mustang bc its definitely way more fun than a civic chassis and fwd lol

I dont think a ton of people will really bat an eye at a LS swapped f-100 as it’s pretty common to “LS swap the world” nowadays. im a fox guy and it’s certainly ran through my head to make good power cheap lol. Not saying that the immense work that tom does should be downplayed. In a world of donut medias Tom’s a breath of fresh air. Best car content on KZbin rn. he’s chassis swapping, that’s TONS of work. But as you could tell here most of the guys at these shows couldn’t even tell you if it was FWD. let Alone a tube chassis. the fact the motors pointing sideways. of course it’s fwd lol.

I'd love to see what people would think at that meet if someone made and took "Masutangu 2.0" there. It's the basically the same concept, but instead of using Honda Civic underpinnings, they used a Ford Probe instead. The Probe was essentially a rebodied Mazda MX6 that was supposed to be the successor to the Mustang, but after some market testing, Ford discovered that it would be a terrible idea, went back to the drawing board, revised the Fox platform and introduced the SN95 to the world in 1994. It would still be a FWD Japanese car with an American body plopped onto it, but everything has an OEM Ford badge and part number on it.

I used to go to car shows all the time but I (mostly) stopped when I realized that everyone has the same set of cars with the same sets of engines in them. Every vintage car show just felt like a copy-paste from the last one and it got so boring so quickly. As a musician as well as a car enthusiast, I say well done! Hot rodding guitars and cars often have many similarities. Most times its much easier to do custom modifications rather than trying to source all the "correct" vintage parts. Especially considering the cost involved of doing so. In the end, it is all about passion and making old stuff come back to life with a purpose and a vision. I can appreciate period correct examples that stay true to the originals, but at the same time, its not always a feasible option. Sometimes ya just gotta improvise and make it work to suit your own preferences and style. Keeo doing it, Brother!
