As commented earlier, make sure the lines you use in the fueltank are actually rated for fuel submersion, regular fuel lines handle fuel internaly but externaly will get ”spungy” with the years and the hoseclamps will slip of and the hose ”pop loose” from the pump. Great video and great job as always! Keep up the great work! Best regards from Sweden

Consider changing that fuel-rail feed and return setup from series to parallel. Feed into a Y-splitter, with equal length hoses to each rail. Return same deal, equal length hoses into a Y fitting, back to FPR. This makes sure the pressure across each injector is as equal as could be, minimising potential per-cylinder lean state.

I like it !! Tom “getting the funk out” with that BO motorsports jazz with the trans cooler mount. Also..... I did the same thing with replacing the knock sensors with brand new oem sensors and brand new oem harness. Then..... Matt told me to instantly turn the knock sensors off with the Holley Dominator lol. Seems with Turbo LS truck motors, if your knocking to the point the sensors are actually retarding timing, it’s already too late. And before that point, the sensors are picking up noise, retarding timing when it shouldn’t be. (Driveline noise may not be an issue on a turbo Tom build lol )

Did you use submersion rated rubber fuel line for the in-tank portions? Over time it can be a huge issue if you did not.
@aussiebloke6095 жыл бұрын
Agreed. A lot of hoses rated for fuel are only really rated to have fuel on the _inside._ Crossing fingers and hoping - it would suck for Tom to have to drop it later with a full tank because the hose perished.
@aussiebloke6095 жыл бұрын
PS: At 8:15 one line clearly says "INTANK" on the outside, and the other does not - and looks quite different also. I predict a bit of a kerfuffle in the future. :-(

I'm not sure I'd rely on water/meth injection on an LS, unless you directly port each runner. Engine Masters (remember them?, they used to be on KZbin and relevant...) recently did a video on water/meth injection on an LS. They got really bad distribution of the water/methanol because (they theorized) the manifold was designed for air not liquid, and all the water/methanol ended up effectively being blown to the rear cylinders only.
