For kiting, there is sometimes nothing better and more conventional than riding a twin tip with a kite. It is the root of kite boarding, it is how we learn and also how we push the limits. There are many awesome production twin tip boards on the market and for 99% of riders these production boards are perfect. Production boards have come a long way over the years. However, for the truly unique twin tip experience, the custom board process can take advantage of a couple things that typically can't be found in a production board. That is ultra light weight and customized flex patterns. Using aerospace composite construction techniques with Carbon fiber with high quality high density foam core (not wood like most production boards) Dereck is able to make a board that under 4 lbs (under 1.7 kg) and customizes the flex pattern to best suit the rider's weight and foot stance (another feature that can’t be offered by production boards) Dereck calls this board the Razor. Righteous stuff… Great video. Hey, can you design a surfboard/twin tip board which is able to serve away but then also has the ability to do transition tricks as you would with a twin tip? The ocean rodeo tried to do it and I think it’s close, but I think there is another design which no one has nailed down yet. I think you guys can do it.

The board moves around when you put on the top layers and you can see after the drying process, that the direction of the last layer is a little bit squared. That’s not good work. The whole board doesn’t look straight :( And the fact you never youse gasmasks when working with resin and other stuff + while sanding the board, makes the video even worse. This will end in cancer some day 🤷🏻‍♂️
