This is the first video in a 5 part series where we show you how we built a wood cored twin tip kiteboard with cast urethane rails.
In this video we get the wood core ready for laminating by cutting the groove for the urethane rail and fin pockets, next we cast the urethane into the board. After the urethane sets we'll take it back over to the CNC machine and we'll mill flat the bottom, mill in the pockets and holes for the binding and handle inserts, and then flip it over and mill the deck profile.
In the next video we'll build the rocker table, which is the form that will give the board its curve along the length of the bottom.
