i already embraced your low pass and high cut filter tips and use it all the time- made a huge difference! But your “pick an amp and master it” tip was priceless!!!

Hey Damion! Really enjoying your TMP preset build content. Any chance you could do a Jerry Garcia tone or John Mayer a la Dead & Co tone? Keep up the great content! Cheers!

I would also love to hear what you can make to sound like Jerry/John. I just got the TMP.

Thanks for the helpful tips Damon! When using the TMP live which FRFR would you recommend...the Fender model?
@damionandy9 ай бұрын
I had the FR12 by fender as a floor monitor, but I mostly go FOH when gigging. Any FRFR will do, but I prefer a wooden cab over plastic. My Headrush FRFR cab makes me believe all plastic ones are a bit boomy, but I could be wrong.

My two cents: I LOVE my fr-12....

Create tips,thank you. You tell to use the ears to learn configuration. My problem is after about 15 minutes I can’t hear differences any more. I’m kind of ear blind. So I have to break for a while. 😊

Hahaha fair, take a break. You’ll be able to increase that over time and focused attention. Like lifting weights - LIGHT WEIGHT BABY

Hey Damion, keep up the great work! You're on the road to success, so I'm wishing you all the best and lots of luck! As we say in France, "Tiens bon la barre matelot!". Another great TMP video, thanks. By the way, I'm really fond of the Blues Junior amp model. I will prepare and upload some presets (Cab/No Cab) based on this model in the Fender TMP Cloud. Cheers from France (obviously 🙂), Chris.

Hi Damion, interesting video. Your point about IR's is definitely true. There are so many options to make things sound good. 2 French men in the comments section, that's an invasion 😂 Keep on rockin' in a free world 🌎

Hi Damion, I would like to ask you a question about the volume issue, which naturally can vary a little from song to song depending on the amplifier used and the effects used, but in general they range between: General volume that I have set to 50% I have the Amp volume at 85% The amplifier volume is between 5 and 7 Preset volume at 53% Cut High 8.2 Cut low 20 Does the combination seem correct to you?
@damionandy8 ай бұрын
Really depends, as you mentioned, on the tonal effect you're going after; however, I usually keep my AMP volume at 4/5, amp level at 80-90%, preset volume 70-90%, and master volume at 65%.

Why do the higher gain tones on the TMP sound so fizzy and artificial when I listen through headphones? (I'm using fairly good quality headphones - audio-technica ATH-M50xBT2) Do you have a fix for this or is this the problem that everyone complains about with digital modelers and can't be fixed?
@damionandy3 ай бұрын
There's a bit to explain here and it's hard without hearing what you're hearing. 1.) Knowing your headphones is more important than having the best headphones. Know what the EQ trends are. For example, I mix with the DT 770's, they're known for having brutal highs. 2.) Know your frequency cuts for your guitar. This takes time, but a good general rule of thumb is cut around 80-120hz on the low end and 5600 - 8500 on the high end. Because a modeler is digital, it can process the full 0-20k hz frequency range of a guitar's pickups. Traditional amps are making frequency cuts organically with their hardware. If you are getting too harsh of highs, do a LPF around 5khz, then work your way up until it sound right to your ear.

Hi Damion. I want to run expression pedals to control mix on my delay and reverb. Can I run 3 expression pedals to control mix on an additional reverb?
@damionandy7 ай бұрын
It allows you to program 3 pedals, but I only see inputs for 2 expression pedals. So I’m not sure
