I love it! They designed a signature model for me and didn’t know it! I sketched out something very similar to this about twenty years ago. Only difference was that my sketch was white-blonde with a tortoiseshell pickguard and binding. If I’d ever gotten well-known enough to warrant a Fender endorsement deal, this is unbelieveably close to what I’d asked them for. I can’t gig anymore-I’ve got mobility problems-and now they come out with my “signature model”! I just might have to get one anyway!

I purchased one in gold to play some neo soul. The fuzz pedal sounded really good as well, I might have to pick one up. Thanks for such a great review guys.

Nice! How's the build quality and neck playability?
@smbmxdirt34279 ай бұрын
@@jevonwhite5193 it plays well, tuning isn't as good as I think it should be. None the less it's been a lot of fun to play.

I dig it but in the gold color, it looks and sounds like a versatile guitar, very nice!

Thanks for being great fun and informational. I've never purchased a guitar without actually playing first. Color does not matter to the blind. Sounds do.

Just sell one first then this replaces it so you just have same amount of guitars not any extra haha. 1in 1 out policy even.. 😂

I just upgraded mine with Fender vintage style tuners (the squier ones are cheap and absolute trash) Fender Tele bridge with Gotoh brass slotted saddles, and an Obsidianwire solderless wiring harness for a Nashville tele that keeps the push/pull tone pot to run neck and bridge or all three together, a set of Fender Pure Vintage 64 Tele pickups and a Fender Pure Vintage 59 Strat pickup for the middle. The only thing on this guitar that’s still squier is the body and neck (I plan on changing the neck at some point as well). All I have left to do is get it set up. I imagine it’s going to sound amazing. I’ve used both sets of those pickups on other builds I’ve done before and they’re the best of the Fender pickups IMO. Should complement each other very well.

I changed the neck because the fretboard was BUTT UGLY and I already had a better looking neck from a Squier 70's strat, and installed grover tuners. I also changed the bridge to the PAT PEND with brass saddles. I didn't change ANY electronics, and it is amazing tone wise. Squier is almost making MIM irrelevant, the pickups are that nice!!!

For me personally it's not a guitar for heavy rock tones...but it's wonderful for clean or slightly overdriven tones. I really like the sounds of this guitar.
@unasinnott57097 ай бұрын
Yeah, and that`s precisely why I chose that model, I`ve always loved both Strats & Tele`s, in a clean mode, so to finally have a combination of both, is brilliant, picking mine up tomorrow, 🤠🎸

But is any Fender single coil guitar without changing the pickups?🤷🏻♂️

I would have loved to see it with a Strat PU at the neck. This way you have a Tele and Strat in one guitar. Like many I can live without a Strat single PU at the bridge and a Tele PU at the neck. In fact I thought it was such a good idea I had a guitar made. Add to that being a Gibson guy at heart I had the neck length and shape from nut to heel made to clone a 59 Les Paul Std. :-) The guitar exceeded my expectations. Sometimes what is great in theory doesn't work in reality. My guitar does. Fender has never offered a TSS combination??? It must have been conscious as they offer a lot of bizarre combinations that end up being very, very niche market. If Fender made my guitar they would sell thousands and every buyer would be buying to add to his Gibson so he could have the other two hot sounds many of his heroes have without compromising a Gibson feel.

Interesting where you pull the switch to add more pick ups almost sounds like your swapping from that very treble bright single coil to more of a rounded humbucker sound..... interesting

I love the look of it and want one, but isnt it just a 3 pickup strat with Tele lipstick?
@TSFAHTPS Жыл бұрын
Yeah it pretty much is…with a Tele pick guard and control plate…but yeah it pretty much is that
@Prettynoise Жыл бұрын
Not really. Tele pickups especially the bridge have a very special sound. That plus the chunk of medal surrounding the pu also affects tone. If you want to dig deeper, body shape equals a variance in mass that his a different distribution. All this makes a difference. I bought one. Plays great and for an inexpensive guitar it's amazing. Makes me want to sell my Nash Tele

I just bought one of these that had issues with the electronics and pickups, not very good build quality and got a instant refund from the dealer after he checked and found these issues, so do have it checked before buying. Maybe better to buy later, used when all the kinks have been fixed!
@TSFAHTPS Жыл бұрын
There is always a chance of getting a guitar with some issues at this price range…mind you, I used to work at a music shop and a lot of very high end guitars that start with the letter ‘G’ and end with ‘ibson’ that cost a LOT more had some horrible quality control issues…so this kinda thing happens!! You got your money back that’s the most important thing!! But I honestly have to say that the quality of the guitars we had was really high…I was very impressed!!
@JC-td4gg Жыл бұрын
That is why I said it might be better to buy one used where the owner would make corrections to anything that was wrong with guitar. Dealer was really on the ball.@@TSFAHTPS

Its a very affordable guitar that is great for beginners and intermediate players. Not sure someone who is a professional player would like it.
@ces69Ай бұрын
Not out of the box, but with a few upgrades, tuners, pickups, bridge etc, why not? Would be a very versatile guitar for not a lot of money! The snobs could even switch out the neck for a Fender one, plenty on auction sites!
@Robstafarian Жыл бұрын
I would mod this with a Free Way 5B5-01 ten-position blade switch with the push-pull pot rewired to put the neck pickup out of phase for 15 tonal options.

Dig very much. Great program. Great programming. Great playing. Good sounding. Action sounds too low, or frets need better crowning. Maybe it's the player, play ya. Subscribed and hit "like" within 5 seconds. U guise have a great chemistry.
