Tong Shin 同善福建面,已有59年历史。它位于Jalan Alor附近的小巷里,6pm开门,可是一到5.30pm便坐满了食客!这里用的是炭火,所以锅气十足!除了福建面,也出名广府炒鸳鸯,干炒面线等等。美味佳肴,价钱实惠,唯一缺点就是要等!
Tong Shin Hokkien Mee, located nearby the famous Jalan Alor, been around for 59 years. It opens at 6pm, but loyal customers already waiting for it around 5.30pm. The stall using charcoal fire, so the noodles are full of "wok hei"! The signature dishes includes hokkien mee, kung fu chow, fried misua etc. The price is very reasonable, the only drawback is you have to wait patiently for your noodles!

这档巳经很久很久没有吃了,我第一次吃是在1983年,当时应该是他父亲在炒,当年到达同善路的时候已经淩晨2点多还有在炒。 很少福建面档有放左口鱼粉了,没有了左口鱼粉下去炒,无论炒得多么好吃也是少了古早味的味道与那股香气。

Yes, the senior cook retired, now new cook who was the helper previously. You see that, he need to taste his own cooking.

This is a famous stall in KL and I am glad you found them. Nowadays, it's rare to find the boss cooks and not engaging foreigners. I am rather disappointed with the ONE at Chinatown KL. Good choice 👌.

You mean Kim Lian Kee at Petaling Street, they still taste better than this stall. Do not try the Kim Lian Kee in Lot 10 Hutong, it is horrible. Many Kim Lian Kee outlets in shopping mall had closed down too. The best is still in Petaling Street, on first floor building, not the one on the street.

Hi Nick. I will be coming back for Ching Ming next month. I need to key in some makan places into my Grab Cab list of addresses. Your videos are very helpful and I strolled along happily. Soon, I came upon this chow fun stall. What a coincident. Brought back loads of memories. I was right there the very first day those two guys set up this stall and among the very first customers that very night. I grew up at the nearby Jalan Sahabat and knew the neighbourhood pretty well. I will surely make this sentimental journey even if it rains and I don't get to eat this hokkien mee. Nick, you are doing a fine job. Keep it up. Best regards, good luck and great success.

有空你拉隊去Setapak文良港拍攝,在Tawaka醫院後面有一間叫,憶園茶餐室買福建面,廣府鴛鴦,炒白粿,魚頭米粉,茄汁啦啦,炒飯也是不錯吃。

没有聽到你說豬油渣,這間的福建麵裡面是没有豬油渣嗎? 没有了這個靈魂配料,就失色了🤭🤭 之前看了你的另一條福建麵影片,在PJ SeaPark那間老uncle炒的,那間應該比這間好吃吧! 因爲那間有放很多豬油渣哦😋😍 再次謝謝你的好介紹🙏😊

Hokkien Mee: Mun Wah is not better than Tengkat Tong Shin, to me Mun Wah is just above average. Lao Ping is better than both of them is true but Lao Ping has too much oil, you will feel jelak towards the end, hence it cannot be number one. Here are my few favourites, not in any order: 1. Kim Lian Kee, Petaling Street 2. Ahwa, Jalan 222 3. The Best Hokkien Mee, Balakong 4. Ah Yap, Sentul 5. Uptown Hokkien Mee, Uptown

Cantonese noodles is usually the chow hor fun. Hokkien noodles is the dark soy sauce type fried thick yellow noodles.
