Tongue Of The Fatman™ (PC/DOS) 1989, Activision, Inc

Tongue of the Fatman is an eclectic fighting game. Choose from different alien races (including Human) with different abilities and fighting styles, purchase weapons and devices, and fight your way through multiple opponents to face the Fatman. Some of the features include being able to place wagers on the outcome of the fight, and the phenomenon of a special move being less powerful the more you use it to balance gameplay. Two-player, head-to-head combat is supported.

The original package contained two sets of media and one set (I think 2 x 720K disks) contained more data (backgrounds, digitized audio) than the other set (3 x 360K disks).

I've also seen versions of this game where you can only select three different fighters. Anyways what I understand it's the 5.25" floppy that has more than the 3.5" mainly because they couldn't fit everything on a single 3.5" but they could on multiple 5.25" disks, including speech and those other bells and whistles missing on the 3.5". This would be one example of feeling sorry for a PS/2 (which already came with VGA or MCGA at least) user because those machines came equipped only with a 3.5" floppy while users of some PC compatible with VGA and 5.25" floppy got to enjoy the game at its fullest.

can you make a another gameplay version with the complete version you found? I know it's a few years later, but more stages would be nice to see, any other differences?

This is the version of the game I had, which came on a compilation CD called "Hits for 6" by the Prism Leisure Corporation. I remember poking around in the files and finding some text that never showed up in the game (I played this ALOT) and being puzzeled over why. I can only assume this was a cut back floppy (and 5 and a 1/4 inch?) version. It was a surprised to find out there was a bunch of stuff in the game I never saw, because the copy I had was from a cheapy compilation CD, lol.

Such an odd game but it's got some depth, items, betting, along with fighting, along with an odd premise and cast of characters certainly made for a memroable game sad the Genesis version is SO watered down compared to the various computer versions realeased
