On this day in 1982 {November 13th} Toni Basil performed "Nobody" on the ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program, 'American Bandstand'... As noted above, it peaked at #52 {for 1 week} on May 2nd, 1982 on the United Kingdom's Official Top 75 Singles chart, it didn't make Billboard's Top 100 chart... And on the same 'Bandstand' episode she also performed "Mickey", at the time it was at #13 on the Top 100, four weeks later it would peak at #1 {for 1 week}, it spent over a half-year on the Top 100 {27 weeks}... The Philadelphia, PA native had two other Top 100 records, "Shoppin' from A to Z" {#77 in 1983} and "Over My Head" {#81 in 1983}... Ms. Basil, born Antonia Christina Basilotta, celebrated her 76th birthday two months ago on September 22nd, 2019...
