Honestly, while I do have fun playing from time to time, seeing new features/ships/armors, without a functioning economy, and a reason to earn rep/wealth, it just doesn't feel like a game. We need server meshing, then we need an economy. Then we need to end wipes. Hopefully we don't have to wait for 1.0 for that...

I hhhhhaaaaatttted wipes.... but I discovered my motivation plummets when a friend gives me 20mil credits. I have to just pretend it doesn't exist. The worst part about that? it motivates me not to support the game in the pledge store... maybe i'll go subscriber to support instead? Once i upgraded to a medium all purpose ship (C1 spirit) I'm all set witha good baseline every wipe. Starting with something like a cutter is just... rough... Just not quite enough cargo space to make good money. I wonder once wipes are done, can i donate ships like I can money? basically chose to become a pauper again and start fresh? lol

Additional thought on economy. I mentioned having "minimum production" so players could still buy something if the industrial players aren't keeping up. it would be interesting to see limited selection basically. Like... a well supplied capital could provide all the items, but a poorly supplied one, not only are items more expensive but only "tier one" items are there. Like light armor instead of medium. The implications are cool because players could make money hauling titanium sure! But players could also make money recognizing a well supplied market, loading a smaller ship like a cutter or a titan with armor pieces (physical cargo coming soon baby!) Then selling them in the market where there's high prices and limited supply.

We don't even have those huge ships and hell we don't even have the vast majority of the systems linked to those ships, they have hardly talked about nods despite it being extremely important so I guess there' should literally 0 progress on this feature, guess we'll see when but don't expect anything other than words for the next 3 years

Along ways off, so says devs a few weeks back, its on the roadmap, yet CIG want more Group/Org gameplay, hence the push in the '' Overdrive initiative'', also CIG need the Polaris/Perseus and larger ships in game and being used to gather data for programming AI/NPC. There won't be any NPC Crew to save the day for large ships post 3.24 until at least Q1 2025, it'll no doubt be a very rudimentary implementation, and at cost to the player, NPC Crew and AI don't spend $. Who wants a game where everything can be automated and slaved, especially when your spending $1000, you might as well play Starfield

I think once they get to a point that we see 1.0 on the horizon (even a year out or so) it will make sense for them to start focusing on fixing them when everything won't break when they add features. If you think about all of the features they add every 3 months, bug fixing less critical issues can often be counter productive when new features will just reverse their hard work.

One of the things that weirds me out about the quantum simulation thing taking so long is... Well i play a game x4 and they do it. It's made by a team of like 30 people and it simulates an economy of like 30 systems. It's not like this is rocket science guys. Make the capital settlements the manufacturing hub / ship yard. Each round, however many minutes / hours that is it needs x number of input to manufacture. Mining settlements already do this with production. Then all you need to do is set a minimum qty production (in case the players don't supply enough players can still get some goods) and create a backend "demand" that slowly drains supply. The hardest part is just setting max and min price for the items instead of a set price that they have now. Badabing all done. They are like 1/2 there and there aren't nearly as many options to manage like X4.

Response times from NPC's have little to do with how they have them programmed. It has more to do with server performance. Play on a server with only a handful of players with a server FPS of 30 and you'll see what I mean. They respond immediately, are deadly accurate and don't mess around.

You're right. However, the June report did talk about resolving a lot of random issues surrounding how they tend to not respond to certain actions even with a high fps server. Such as reacting to contact they hear close by. Currently, if they're not part of the same group, they don't respond when another group is engaged.

Seems like a balanced fight because obviously if a lot of eclipses attack it then it is vulnerable but it can still fight back with its fighter and destroy the torps with the various turrets (which is not too hard to do even now), pair this with the advanced scanners of the Polaris and its high top speed it really seems balanced to me

I would give up EVERYTHING in this list just to fix the inventory bugs, add auto item stacking, search functions, and fixing gun switching/reloading, fixing tractor beam and UI bugs, and server stability. None of this stuff matters without these being being fixed first. All additions need to stop until UI is functional.

One of the biggest gripes about SC is how they prioritize ship development over everything else. So much needs to be fixed, but they are cranking out 5 new ships, while ships promised 12 years ago still aren't even finished. It's a cluster over there.
