I got carbon nfs when I first bought ps3 in late 07 or early 08 and I was disappointed because it's like ps2 lmao but of course it was rushed and games only get better later. I still don't own a PS4 because they don't make these appealing games no more and Gran Turismo series.

Project 8, proving grounds, and American wasteland were the best games I played when i was younger, these are the best skating games. Its a shame they don't make these types of games anymore.

I think I was like 14 or 15 when this came out and remembered just grinding (no pun intended) the hell out of this game. Playing this on Xbox 360 and having incubus blasting in the background was so fun.

This game brings so many memories. I remember when my neighbor would tell us a couple of cool glitches like getting into other places that my brother and I hadn’t unlocked. Me and my brother always argued who’s person was better when we had the option to create them. This game is always and forever will be my most favorite skating game

I had it on PS2 growing up. It wasn't until a couple years ago when I got a 360, and not until last year I found a copy of Project 8 for it. I actually remember the PS2 version looking pretty beautiful, but the gameplay and maps are definitely much better on next gen. Not only does the open world flow so well, but the amount of pedestrians make it feel more alive too. Plus, the PS2 version still using the old engine made some missions impossible, including the very first "grind" one. The Sick score was just unattainable on last gen.

I remember when Tony hawk underground first came out for the ps2. I was addicted to it man, Straight up haha. One day the homie came over cause hes the one that had the game, he let me borrow it that night. Well that night I took the CD out to clean it and when I grabbed the CD to dry it.... SNAP. I accidently broke it in half.... worse moment of my life lol

@@backyardbaseball2006 Because the challenges in it are awful and the classic mode is empty compared to THUG 2. By like the 12th "bring this piece back the compound and do a trick on it mission", including the QTE spamming ones like pulling the statue down I was over it. Then you don't get special tricks for hours into the gameplay and the open world stuff is just bad in comparison to THPS4 or THUG1. Then the classic mode, which in THUG2 had something like 14 levels, including a bunch of awesome classic maps from older games. AW's classic mode had 6 maps. BTW I loved Backyard Baseball 2003.

Oh man does this video give me memories.. back when my ps2 still worked, I bought American Wasteland and Project 8. First day I was so stoked saved the game (or so I thought) then turned it off. Came back to my save file to find nothing had saved in either games. My memory card was fried and i couldn't afford a new one. So me being a stubborn lil sh*t spent 12+ hours trying to pass the game to see what happened at the end. Did it with both games. I loved them so much that i did it many times. The rush I felt watching this video was the same I felt as I tried nailing each trick and passing the game. Really Love this game. Thanks for the amazing video!

I had it on 360 as well! I got as far as unlocking the slums and got bored and did glitches lol. There was a bail-launch glitch that you do on the Half Pipes at the Spawnhouse backyard that launches you across the map to the school and the theme park

Ok the sounds got me tripping ballz. Locations are reminding me of what obstacles I thought were glitched and scared me when I randomly fell and bled which traumatized me to hecc but dang didn't even know u could get off your board. Played this last when I was 5 before the wii and proving ground and the disc was faulty and so was my now completely broken ps2 so getting to actually play the game (which was second hand along with the ps2, both from my cousin) was such a rare fun omg. So long aah.

nobody around age 30 would say that. Us THPS1-3 geeks were like 12-14 back then, we absolutely hate every single game after thps3, they started to copy GTA, they removed the challenging part of the game, the 2 minute timer, they just made it childish and easy for children. The series was dead for us when we were 16ish. Not many of my age even know they made 8 games, that's crazy and also shows how they kept declining as it never got any word out, no popularity, no marketing, just ignored like it should be. :) That was the good thing about our generation, if we didn't like something we just dropped those developers and moved to a different game. Today kids stick to their 1 game and cry all day on forums the game sucks while those bad developers keep making millions anyway.
