What is being late to work on a race car? Is this guy getting paid to do what everyone I have every helped was scared to commit too, which was to pay me to work on their race car. Freefifty was always what the majority wanted to pay, even though I am a mechanic by trade, worked on race cars from 8 years old, which included but not limited to building cars all the way to maintenance. Which is why my resume has a lot of feature wins, championship, and other achievements I have been apart of over 36 years. Yet guys in late models and mods with quick change rearends are scared I will get the gears upside down. Even though mind you I have done pretty fine with street car rearends that are essentially a one of one don't mess it up installing it rearend because there is not one to replace it rearend. Yet this is the key things late model people are scared of when I have offered to assist on their cars, and even modified which is the bulk of what I have worked on for my racing career. Yet all of a sudden we go from a Ford 9 inch third member which cost wayyyyyy more than those little quick change gears and people are scared I will get the gears upside down. Although removing wheels and adding wheel spacers are fine.....Oh perfect, I got it! 😂

@@outlawracing4 Yea, and by the way the driver in my profile picture asked me if I wanted to come work with him, and he already has his crew chief standing next to him, alone with two of his own sons crewing on his car. So yea my 47 year old a$$ can still work on a racecar. Proof is in the work, since I am still apart of feature wins, and helped on my birthday John Potter the driver in my KZbin profile picture to an 11th place finish in a b mod during an A mod race at Creek County during a big money race that Tanner Mullins won. Literally scared I will get the gears upside down in their rearend my word people are insane.
@outlawracing4 Жыл бұрын
Thats pretty funny, Tonys team has a saying “big momma likes it on top” thats how its kept straight! Lol
@TheCrewChief374 Жыл бұрын
@@outlawracing4 Well I don't even need that saying, I already know the big gear goes on top, unless you reverse them for a larger track or something like a run at the Bonneville Salt Flats for instance. Not to mention I do know a lot more about a car than rearends, I have used a high dollar scan tool on street cars, computerized alignment machine, even rebuilt shocks on a street cars before. Not to mention I have worked with the likes of Wayne Brooks, Kelly Shryock, Mark Noble, John Allen just to name a few. Most importantly every car I have worked on is as competitive as the driver is capable of making it, which better be winning.
