Speaking facts 💯 a true musician NEEDS MUSIC to get thru everyday. It’s always been my salvation and gives me a reason to keep getting up ⬆️ n the morning. This guy is an absolute guitar genius & has laid down some of the best guitar ever work ever recorded. Huge inspiration

Mr. Maiden is not someone who just "talks the talk" about his philosophy presented here. He is every bit the uplifting spirit that is reflected in his playing and presented in this video. I met him (after sneaking) backstage after a Rufus/Chaka Khan concert when I was only 15. There was no arrogance. He took time to chat with me (at length) about guitar, and introduced me to Chaka and the whole band. His kindness and humility changed the course of my entire life for the better. Thanks Tony!

He really helped shaped Rufus after he joined in 1974. Rufusized is my favorite album with him...

@NolVVexen No doubt, and perhaps the most creative guitarist in the business. I think the most awesome rhythm guitar line ever played is Tony's track on Dave Koz's "Love Is On The Way"! The rhythm guitar collaboration of Lee Ritenour and Ray Parker, Jr. on Natalie Cole's "Annie Mae" follows as a close second.

I'm shocked to be hearing this, but I believe it. I wonder did the ABC record company treated their other artists at the time like this.
