I listened to one writer say certain players don't get votes because they weren't nice to the media. Really? We have children deciding who makes the Hall of Fame. I don't even pay attention.

Dude, todd helton almost batted .400 for an entire season. He was the best player the rockies ever had. Took them the thr 07 series which we won, but that team had no business being there.

How many players had 3000 hits? Like 30 in the history of baseball... Only ones who aren't in are rose and palmeiro

I'm with them on this. Helton, Beltre, Wagner. These guys were All-Stars, not Hallers. Mazz is right, the hall should be small. The only one I disagree with Mazz about is Vladdy. Vladdy was special.

Mike and Tony's age really show in this clip. For younger folks like me in their 20's, Beltre was our Brett or Schmidt. If memory serves, at the time of Beltre's retirement was the only third basemen in history with 3000 hits and 400 hime runs. I 100% view him as one of the best third basemen of my lifetime and he should be in.

Nope. It's not the hall of hanging around a long time and accumulating stats. "They dont even know who Billy Wagner is" BINGO.

@@jacobscott9732 What does Billy Wagner have to do with Adrian Beltre? I agree with their sentiment of not letting just anyone in. I'm saying that Beltre did deserve to get in

If you don’t know Billy Wagner then you haven’t watched a baseball game prior to the last 10 years , these guys are knocking beltre and Hilton as if they were bums , that’s absurd , Hilton batted .316 for his career in 17 years , without steroids , you want guys in who cheated to be where they were beltre has over 3000 hits and has batted .284 for a very long career , makes absolutely zero sense

The baseball HOF is a joke. Beltre was good for 20 years, but he was never an all-time player not even for one season. Just another reason as to why the sport is dying and nobody really gives a crap.

Beltre at the time of retirement: 2nd most gold gloves by a third basemen in history (5) 3000 hit club Top 3 in hits and home runs all time for a third basemen Only third basemen in history with 3000+ hits and 400+ home runs Give him his flowers. He was a rightful and deserving first ballot HOFer.

Because he came up during the steroid error, and could’ve easily have been one of those people that use steroids, but because he didn’t have the same amount of power as the other guys people don’t even look his way so in his eyes, it seems hypocritical that he gets in, but the other guys that hit for more power don’t

You saying Beltre isn’t a hall of famer has to be racially motivated. Of course you think of “George Brett, chipper jones, brooks Robinson and mike Schmidt” when you think of third baseman and not Beltre who is just as good if not better than all of them

I love the how Baseball hates itself so much and it is self destructive. The only time talking Baseball is bearable is when its being trashed for being silly. Cry about Billy Wagner but Somebody saw Ken Griffey Jr. And said not a HOFer. The Baseball hall of Fame is useless.
