Sad that Birchalls has closed its doors. Used to get most of my school stationary from their store

Awesome....Love every episode of Tme Walks....Birchall's book store closed fairly recently unfortunately ...Bit sad to think that when Tony filmed this episode it was still operating as Australia's oldest book store but not so soon after...

Thanks so much Tony. I’m deciding where in Tazzie I want to retire. Launceston or Hobart. Still deciding

As someone who has lived in both I would go with Hobart for sure! The landscape with the city being in between the mountain and river is breathtaking.

19:16 THE BEANBAGS! I REMEMBER THOSE FROM WHEN I WAS A KID! But they got rid of them sadly. I seem to remember that there was a weird rumour things where they apparently made noises but I don't think they did. Oh, the nostalgia.

I ate my grub. It had been cooked in sand. I put it in my mouth and gave a couple of chews. I had the overwhelming feeling that if I didn't swallow then I would spit it out. But I did swallow it. It had a gritty outside and a soft center and I knew I was about to swallow something that was not food. There was an aboriginal man watching and having a good laugh.

Tony, what the hell are you talking about? Your birthplace was Homerton, London which is in the South-East of England. How come you say you are from the South-West of England? Or, have you relocated to Cornwall without telling anybody? 'nuf sed.
@2CraftySeniors4 жыл бұрын
Tony doesn't say he was 'raised' in southwest England. He says he 'comes from' southwest England. He's talking about where he lives, not where he was born or grew up. He lives in Bristol, which is in southwest England.
