Tony's 2014 Subaru WRX STi - It's using oil?!

Hey, Joe here. In this video, we perform a basic compression test on Tony's STi. It is using a good amount of oil, so we expect to find issues.

In our DSM days we thought we'd pick up a WRX or Evo as a reliable daily driver and I don't think it ultimately worked out for any of us. They either turned into track cars or headaches.

Back when they were new. I daily drove my EVO 8 that was lightly modified 65 miles round trip. Got rid of it with nearly 100k miles, that one never had a single issue other than breaking up in the higher RPM range every other oil change. (Ate plugs)

Looks like the intercooler needs several of the fins straightened out. Doing that is probably about as much fun as pulling the plugs though! 😑😑😑

@@JoeWrenches I hear you. I was ambitious to by my project DSM when I I had two still in diapers at the time thinking I could start a channel of my own. But at least it also gave me an excuse to stay outside when the crying was getting to me. 😀

did you do it with the engine cold? if so redo with the engine warm. If it was done warm, then your looking for 120-140 psi

The engine was kinda warm. Not cold. Compression not good. Leakdown next.
