I just realized how good of an action scene this is. Stark wins, not because the henchmen are completely incompetent, or because they couldn't hit a bullseye if they were standing two inches away. He wins, because he is laying down his own covering fire, keeping a watch for new enemies, and constantly moving so as to be a difficult target to hit. This scene was awesome.

It was an amazing movie I am personally a tony stark fan
@RazorWareCa
@RazorWareCa 3 жыл бұрын
It was still enjoyable because of some of the scenes where Tony didn't have his armor, but the plot was riddled with holes and beyond stupid: - Tony with Jarvis didn't detect a fleet of attack helicopters homing into his base after declaring war in the Mandarin? - The armor worked on Pepper despite never giving her the needle shot he took to be tracked by the armor? - The Mandarin being written into such a lame and underwhelming villain? How is he possibly a threat after Loki etc. - unnecessarily destroying his whole armory of iron man suits which literally helped him win? The number of bad decisions and incompetences is only the result of bad writing. Iron 1 and 2 had much better writing and it bothered me so much because I really tried to like this movie
@NathanMoon-oz8sc
@NathanMoon-oz8sc 3 жыл бұрын
@@RazorWareCa I personally agree with your first point, but not with the rest. Just my personal interpretations and opinions, and I do not have any other intentions. Hope u will be aware :) One needs the needle shot when one wants to call and operate the armor at his/her will. However, in case of pepper, tony ordered the suit to encase pepper and fly her out of the mess, so the process didn't actually require the needle. Similar situation with Killian when Tony ordered Mk 42 to self destruct after attaching the suit fragments on him. I see nothing getting out of bounds of the plot settings of Mk 42 in either of these situations. About the Mandarin thingy...I see your point...a bit disappointing if one has ever read the comics...his true potential...BUT I believe the mandarin, which is actually killian, was very decent because he ultimately played an important role in making tony mature , since he tested Tony's most sensitive humane limits, by blowing up Tony's house, taking pepper for hostage, thus taking everything away from Tony. A good villain doesn't always have to have god-like, unprecedented powers that light up the screen. Though, I wish the movie had a stronger and a deeper motivation for Tony and killian to kick off their fight. The destruction of his suits are a symbol of him overcoming his true fears and becoming more mature. U remember when he said I'm just a man in a can? He had nightmares, and constant anxiety about the death of pepper and everyone he cared for, including world apocalypse. In that process, he built those numerous suits; he just couldn't rest for a minute due to his anxiety. If you think of it, the suits are Tony's anxiety and unhealthy mental state in physical form, which leads to my conclusion that finding his identity, becoming Tony Stark, which was a huge turning point for Tony, made the writers decide to blow up the rest of the suits, as a symbol of Tony's inner change. Aight, have a nice day :)

I think the coolest thing about this suit of armor is that it was able to operate independently. Think about it. He had a mini-arc reactor powering all his armor before. To have each piece operate independently, he must have invented an even smaller power source capable of the same or greater energy generation.

The writer's objective was to show us the range of tony starks abilities without the suit and interdependence with the suit. They did a good job adding stakes by showing us his human vulnerability and technology malfunctions and how his character and tech evolved together to overcome his obstacles. Great execution! If the only banner got this type of character development his character arc wouldn't have been as misdirected and unsatisfactory

@@aprilsummers6447 True. Bruce *IS* more than just a disguise hiding a raging green monster inside, but how it's handled is very poorly. He says that this "Smart Hulk" is the result of merging the best of both worlds, but it would have been preferable if they'll actually *show* us how he achieved such a feat rather than just telling us. Then, Betty Ross ( his official love interest ) disappears after 2008, and Banner plays "hide the zucchini" with *Black Widow* of all people is quite a strange case.

They should've made another independent MCU Hulk film before Endgame and also that Black Widow film before they killed her off. I suppose Ragnarok kinda was a Hulk spin-off film and it was really good and set up the Infinity War, but a proper Hulk solo film set between Age of Ultron and Ragnarok would've been nice. A Black Widow film set after Winter Soldier would've also made sense, but it's a shame they came to realization too late and at a time nobody gave a shit a shit anymore as Natasha's arc had come to a close.

What I like about Tony/Iron Man strikingly is that not only he is a genius inventor billionaire. To sum it, Captain America is a super soldier, Black Widow is a super spy. Hulk, gamma radiation, Black Panther, a warrior king in a vibranium powered suit, Thor, literally a God, Spiderman, a radioactive spider bitten teenage hero, and Hawkeye, a skillful archer. But for Tony, he is just a human. Some say he is nothing without the suits, but it is through his ingenuity that created the Iron Man suits and he has the skills and experience to master them. That is what separates Tony among the super-powered heroes, he is just a ordinary human hero. Proving that you don't need powers to become a hero. He is like the Batman of Marvel.

Iron Man 3 was always my favorite of the three for how it shows Stark with and without and his tech, and the really cool concepts we see with the suits. Tony fighting without a suit and having to get creative like microwaving metal to cause an explosion, then having only a few separate parts from his suit arrive at a time in this scene, to then resorting to using around 30 suits and having to jump between them as they get torn apart… such an unreasonably cool movie and easily one of the best of the MCU

Brian Tyler's music is the most underrated of the MCU and film score industry in general. SO good here!

I had problems with this movie when it came out, but by today's MCU standards, it's a masterpiece.

@@cthejust2344 Dude yes - I'm frankly optimistic about both. Both directors can handle characterization competently, execute VFX vivaciously, and generally structure their films soundly. This could have been said for Sam Raimi and Taika Waititi as well, yes. But something about the Quantumania trailer just rubs me the right way - the visuals to me just look more immersive. Even though Peyton Reed gets some heat, I think some of his technological imaginativeness in the VFX dept of the Ant-Man films is overlooked. Edit: Not much has to be said about James Gunn and his understanding of the GotG characters, of course, haha. And his handling of visuals generally speaking has also been on point.

I loved the part of Iron Man 3 where you get to see Tony fighting without a full suit because you can see just how formidable he really is! His suits are only a tool, tools are no more capable than the person using them!
