At the end of CA:TWS, Bucky only regained a tiny amount of memories that gave him back his autonomy. He was struggling with regaining his memories, he didn't even fully recognize Steve from their encounter in Bucharest, of course by that point he didn't remember absolutely all the people he was forced to kill. And there is nothing to indicate that Bucky knew that Tony's parents were among those victims, Because the order HYDRA gave him was only the recovery of an item and the elimination of witnesses, they never provided him with the identity of the Starks. He didn't lied to him 😏 He actually didn't knew they were killed by the Winter Soldier. He only got to knew Hydra killed Tony stark when he met Zola during the Captian America The Winter Soldier movie. Steve was not lying he seriously didn't knew it was Bucky who killed Tony's parents.
@samiranrout50452 ай бұрын
@@vaibhavbagasi7346 As you pointed out, cap came to know about it from zolas files, so he did know about the Starks being killed by bucky. Cap literally accepts he was lying and says, "Yes" when presented with the counter argument, "Don't bu||shit me Rogers".
@SSingh-nr8qz4 ай бұрын
This is all on Cap. This reaction from Tony should never have happened and Tony is 100% justified for his bloodlust based on the information he had at the time. Yes the other guy was mind controlled, but NO ONE is going to be thinking straight when you just watched your family get murdered, the guy that did it is 4 feet away, and the people you trust hid this information. Cap is no civilian. He knows the importance of team cohesion and that means telling his team things they need to know and make sure they are good before going on a mission.

Tony is a complicated figure and he was as selfish as he was empathetic. There's so many shades of grey in all of us. There's a Tony, Cap, and Bucky in all of us, one way or another.

I never understood by Bucky didn't explain at this moment that he was being mind controlled. He just sat there, looking guilty. And Cap didn't explain anything either. I felt like they just allowed the enemy to drive a large wedge between them.

Bucky really never apologizes, neither does cap Tony’s whole life was kind of pivoted because of this moment his mom and dad dying when he was young in a car crash then to find out that the two people his dad worked with talked about and we’re heroes to Tony knew that Tony’s father was killed by Bucky in. Captain, didn’t say anything but protected him.

I think it's worth remembering that Tony's not just angry about what happened to his parents, and the fact that Cap lied to him. He's also no doubt angry that Cap tore apart the Avengers (Tony's mental safety blanket) for the sake of a murderer and to stop a threat that didn't exist (the other Winter Soldiers). Everything Tony built to protect the world, gone for the sake of a lie.

This scene, from Cap looking at Zemo and back at the screen knowing damn well what it is, to Tony flinching and closing his eyes realizing what happened, really just shows how emotional the old MCU was.

Tony's anger was justified here. Yeah, Bucky was brainwashed, so he can be written off as not being in control. But Steve, there's no excuse. Tony was the son of one of his closest allies. To not let him in the loop is unforgivable.

And THIS is why I don't fully buy into Captain America being worthy. He should have told Tony about Bucky's involvement in his parent's death LONG before this. In fact, much of the conflict of this movie could have been avoided if Cap had taken the time to explain to everyone that Bucky had done certain things as a Hydra sleeper agent that Bucky himself wasn't in control of. That's the reason I'm squarely Team Iron Man in this movie. The entire conflict comes from Cap's inability to accept responsibility

Earlier in the film when Tony was using Quentin’s creation to project a hologram of his last conversation with his parents he said the line “That’s how I wish it had happened.” There’s no doubt in my mind that the last time Tony spoke to Howard (pre Endgame) they argued. And Howard left in a huff and Maria tried to calm him down in the car. Which means that the last time he saw his parents in the flesh they were mad at each other. Which makes this hurt allllll the more.

“There’s a bit of green in the blue of your eyes.” Green is often portrayed as an evil color, like Disney villains having a lime green color to them sometimes. So when Zemo says that there is a bit of green in the perfection of blue in his eyes to Cap, Zemo is saying that despite being “gods righteous man” as Ultron put it, he is imperfect because of that one secret he kept from Tony, his own friend/family just to save himself and Bucky

Steve is a hypocrite and a horrible human being for not telling Tony. I don’t know why he still gets treated as a hero
@stormichow5325 Жыл бұрын
I mean, that's the point: heroes are heroes, yes, but they’re still human and vulnerable to influences of self-desire. Even Steve Rogers, "the greatest man on Earth", has that darkness inside of him. Steve knows that he not only failed Tony, but he also failed himself and Erskine, which is part of the reason that he abandoned the shield: he was no longer worthy of being Captain America. He even admits to being wrong later on. Endgame is where we see Steve redeem himself. Not _absolve,_ mind you, but redeem.
