I think they should have left this scene in, BUT, not with Morgan. Who it SHOULD have been was Yensen. He asks him if he wasted his life, and Yensen assures Tony he did not. It makes way more sense because Yensen is actually dead, and it would be such an awesome full circle for Tony's character arc.

Morgan character hadn't been developed enough to warrant a final scene in the end. It would have added an unnecessary story line. The movie was in the closing stages at that point. The scene would have added unnecessary information, thus leading to confusion about the end of the movie. They did right by cutting this scene.

It's a great scene but I do kind of see why it would have been deleted. Maybe because it could have caused confusion about Stark suddenly travelling into the future seeing a future version of Morgan in the soul world? I think a version of this but with Morgan at the current age we saw more in the movie itself could have been better, but either way it didn't really add much to the story after the huge battle and the conclusion already clear about Stark sacrificing himself to resolve the ending.

1) I agree with some others that it should've been Yensen, instead of Morgan...and that the scene should've been left in, as such. 2) Future Morgan still isn't that odd, because what you experience in the Realm of the Soul Stone isn't about who's alive or dead, or anything like that. Time doesn't mean anything there, either. The stone shows you what you're supposed to see...what you need to see. That's NOT actually Morgan from the future. It's just what Tony's soul needed to be able to rest. He needed to know that she would grow up...that he succeeded...that she'd be ok even if he was gone. So, THAT'S what he saw. Thanos, by contrast, needed to know that Gamora understood...even if she didn't agree, he needed to know that she got it and to be reassured that her sacrifice wasn't in vain (from his perspective).

This is a cool Take, but being an Iron Man Fan from when I could read (1986) He needed to see his parents. He saw his dad in the past during the movie,but could not let Howard know. Both Him and Maria there in the afterworld and Tony in his armor, dirty and hurt, barely standing on his own for them to catch him and start peeling off the armor. No words or score. Just the sounds of the parts hitting the water. Howard notices the Arc reactor. Mom tearing up because she knows Tony leaving behind everything he protected. “They live because of you Anthony. They will never forget you.” Howard Holds up the Arc Reactor, and smiles “I knew you’d change the world, But save it? Not bad son, Not bad at all. Time to finally let go, and rest. The world is a safer place because you were in it. You made a difference.” (Tony dressed the same way as the day the missle put all the shrapnel in his chest) “One last goodbye Guys. Then a cheeseburger. Gotta get a cheeseburger” And pans back to the battlefield.

Can't say I'm not thinking "WHERE THE HELL IS YINSEN" at this scene tho If anyone, it should've been Yinsen, not Morgan. Yinsen is the reason Stark got his arc and the whole MCU is a thing, he deserved to show up one last time
@BobNinjaCatАй бұрын
Tony didn't cherish Yinsen. Why would he show up? He was one prisoner Tony shared a cave with for a few months. That's not on the level of Morgan or even Steve. Wanting a callback to a VERY minor character in a huge story is stupid, especially when the Soul Stone requires you sacrifice someone you value above all else. Tony didn't cherish Yinsen. He sought to honor his memory, but that's a tiny part of His larger motivation throught the Avengers.

As much as I like this scene, I also understand why it was cut, or at least personal headcanon. This scene, as one person noted, would have caused confusion, especially with the time travel shenanigans the whole movie. But there is also breaking the narrative flow, and this scene does that. Imagine watching endgame and in between "I am Ironman" and Thanos getting dusting, you suddenly get jarred into this scene.

Maybe this could be incorporated into Secret War or something, where a grown up Morgan finds herself in this soul realm and see’s her dad who from his perspective has just used the infinity stones, and they have this conversation. Maybe like, it’s about her having come to terms with and understanding her dad’s sacrifice after all those years.
@danielholtom7777Ай бұрын
This would have been the best scene of the movie if it had stayed in. I've read comments that Thanos only got to talk with Gamora because she was dead. Other people gave a different preference to who Tony should have seen. Thanos saw Gamora because she was the person he loved most. Tony saw Morgan because she was the person he loved most (any father would agree with me) This is the soul realm, not the dead realm. You are born with a soul. The scene would have been better if Tony didn't immediately question whether he made the right choice after learning that he just gave his daughter a future. But that's just my humble opinion.

I love the idea of this ending but I really would have liked for Tony and Natasha to have been reunited since they both sacrificed everything in the end.. Like I know it sounds cheesy, but I think it would’ve been a cool throwback to the first Avengers if after Tony snapped and was transported to the Soul World and came across Natasha there. Her waiting for him; with her back turned to him and he asks, “Agent Romanoff… you miss me?” And she smiles softly, and without saying anything more they embrace proud, in a platonic way, knowing they not only saved the world, but their friends, family and ultimately the universe. Then soon after Morgan (whatever age/version this is supposed to be) would soon appear to him, Natasha gently encourages him to go talk to her and then the rest of this scene can play out like it is.. but that’s just me. I’m a sap; what can I say.
@stuartellner317218 күн бұрын
I think for continuity purposes this scene needed a preceding scene earlier in the film where Tony either has a brief dream or vision where he sees the grown up Morgan upset with him for choosing a path to go back to the Avengers, defeating Thanos, and dying in the process. Like right before he’s in the kitchen trying to do the dishes and then seeing the photo of Peter Parker. This would’ve established 2 things: 1) The audience would have already seen the adult version of Morgan before Tony is in the Soul World with her. So no one would be wondering who she was. 2) it would have established that Tony was carrying enormous doubt and guilt about the choice he needed to make and it was finally lifted by Morgan in the Soul World. Basically, allowing him to die with no regrets. So the 2 scenes would have bookended each other and provided a greater sense of closure for Tony.

It was a heartfelt scene but understand why it was deleted. It would’ve raised questions and cause more confusion. Stark already had a scene with Morgan and everyone with the hologram at the wake. So this scene would’ve just been a doubling up of that. I also feel like people involved in soul world should’ve been connected to it. Thanos w/ Gamora makes sense so Tony w/ Natasha would’ve been perfect. Scene could’ve been short, like a simple gesture of Natasha extending her hand out to Tony like you’re not alone.
