Funny fact. I saw an interview with the cast where Margot tells how Sebastian got the role during an audition. They were reading the part in the car where he says he will fucking kill her if she says anything to the cop. Sebastian then grabbed her and kissed her just like in this scene. It wasnt in the scene at all it was just spontaneous, the flip from anger to love. Margot said he got the role right then because he is such a good actor he could play Jeff as not only the abuser he was but almost make him vulnerable and sad that he couldnt control her or his emotions.

Even though doing something like that is disapproved in the eyes of someone who isn’t acting, or someone who doesn’t go to those types of lengths to get a role, it’s nodded upon people who cast for a true character.
