Maybe this is what's going on with my relationship, I've been with my man for 8 years & he refuses to marry me! Tells me he's happy with me but immediately treats me like shit when the topic of marriage comes up, now I'm horrible and could never do right. But wasn't you just happy though? Rinse & repeat. Anyone who doesn’t take the time to work on themselves and jumps from one thing to another without self reflecting and actions to be and do better for next time will not find a fulfilling relationship. They are void filling and afraid to face the truths. Going too fast in the beginning is a huge red flag and I missed that a lot. Now I can see that it takes time to get to know someone and grow a healthy relationship. I steer clear from any guys who want to do anything too fast cause I feel like it is coming from a place of desperation and too much hopefulness without true intentions to make it work. This particular one certainly describes my previous situation & subsequent dating issues after my divorce because I had no insight into the mind & "savagery" of some men. I also didn't fully understand my worth as a woman despite being a woman of God. Part of my naivete came from being new to the dating game after having been married for over 10 years. Glory be to God for the lessons. I took time to heal despite the dating mistakes which I take full responsibility for because I dated way too soon & allowed people into my life while ignoring the yellow/red lights. The current man in my life continues to show love in every way despite what we've both been through in previous marriage & relationships. Now I'm in a healthy forfilling relationship. Be blessed

Like the old saying goes" you can't expect to be happy while causing someone else misery" meaning, his situation is not going to work! You reap what you sow!!! He is probably wishing a million times that he stayed with you!! Trust me, I grew up in this. My daddy left my mama for his cousin's wife in 1987-1988. He divorced my mom and married her in 1990. That marriage didn't work, and then he remarried again in 1997 and that one didn't work either. Now after all of these years, my dad still tells us to this day that he wished that he stayed with my mama. We forgave him, but he made his bed, and he gotta lye down in it.

Beautiful! Thank you. I got so much out of this truly. I mean you really break things down from beginning to end, that is a blessing. I was in a relationship off and on for 7 years with a guy that I feel has never sincerely been true to me. More recently I chose to completely cut things off and block him because I believe he was cheating on me. Of course he denied it but I could tell even though I did not physically catch him in the act. His behaviors were very erratic a times, he would turn his location off, he began to be extremely verbally disrespectful. This has been a cycle of his. Although, I truly cared for him and I believe there are soul ties there, mustered the strength to cut it off for good the other day. It definitely hurts and I am trying my best to work through my own emotions and feelings about my decision because it is not what I wanted to do. I knew that if I did not put an end to the toxicity it would continue. Some days I don’t even feel like getting out of bed because I feel so hurt behind everything. Yes, I still think about him. Thank you, for giving a raw, unbiased, real perspective of what it really is. Truly, this giving me the strength to stand firm in the decision I made to walk away. I have to know my worth before and stand firm on a foundation that doesn’t accept any individual to diminish, dishonor me and disrespect in such way! Especially the person I would even call my “man.” Thank you again.

Everything was going great until he got inconsistent. The only thing that makes since is his ex / baby mama came back around. That was an on- off relationship of 9 years.. it’s hurtful, I keep wondering if he’s with her however it’s a turn off to be with a man that can’t envision his future foreal. I saw your video on “is your relationship over” and that’s all I can think of .. they clearly have brokenup many of times over the 9 years.It’s not gonna work, he’s 36 if he wanted her he would be married to her... I will be okay.
