Such a picturesque view from your hostel! You're right. You're in a fairy tale village.

Where do you catch the train (Europe rail) in Paris to Bayonne. Is it Montparnasse station. If so, where do you catch the train from Charles de Gaulle airport to Gare Montparnasse station.

I did take Gare Montparnasse to Bayonne. There are trains connected from the airport that you can take pretty close to Montparnasse. I think you add 1 connection and walk a few blocks. I'm not a metro person at all but found the Paris railway to be pretty easy to use. I did book the bayonne & sjpp tickets in advance. You can use google maps and click the train icon to get an idea of which connections you'll need to take. It was fairly inexpensive.

@@mrtony1985 Thanks. I am doing the Camino in the fall. You think three hours is enough time from the airport to get on-board the train departing from Gare Montparnasse to Bayonne.

@@whyicare My wife and I just was on a bus guided tour in Portugal, Spain and Frances. We arrived in Lisbon a day early and we decided to take the Metro for the day. The machines are not in English but we did find someone who could understand and help buy round trip tickets. You need to be careful as it is a touristy place anywhere in Europe and of course criminals are everywhere. There are APPS and I have one called OMIO and you can buy tickets for many transportations in this app. When you buy the tickets you can have a boarding pass on your phone. I am planning on doing the Frances Camino in 2025 and let me tell you they LOVE pastries in Spain. LOL
