Kate.. we are arriving in Bilboa. Any suggestions how to get to St Jean pied de port easily.. seems buses don’t run there on Mondays

Hi you can look at Rome to Rio app or website. But probably a bus to Bayonne then a train to SJPdP.

You could also try looking at a bus to Pamplona then a shared taxi or the bus if you can make the connection.

Hello! I stayed at la vita e Bella and this hostel was good with friendly hosts. But I was sharing the room with 2 other family members. I don’t know if they have a single private room. Perhaps you could try booking.com to read the reviews and availability of private rooms. Buen Camino!

I flew to Pamplona via Madrid, then took the bus to St. Jean.

ok, so, arriving in Biarritz, taking the bus (i guess) down to Beyonne and then the train to SJPDP. did you buy tickets in advance or can you buy them on the spot?

I would think it should be straightforward to get a bus to bayonne. I personally tend to get train tickets in advance but I have not caught this train (I arrived on the bus from Pamplona). I use the Trainline app to book trains though in the UK and abroad. I hope this helps.
