@@Tony_Jeffries I'd say my goal is amateur at the best amateur level i can go to, wouldnt wanna be a pro due to the "what if i get hurt really bad?" scenario. Got into boxing for self defence and my love for the sport and I'm more than happy to have fun scraps with fellow gym members who share the love for the sport.

I was never a competitive fighter, but I still love the specific information that you gave about pro boxing, especially details about how promoters act, how contracts work, and how you should bargain with the promoters you come across. I started boxing when I was 14! I’m currently 16. I’m in love with boxing, it’s the only thing I can think about. Can’t even focus in school. But Ik there are people who started when they were 6, hell even earlier. People tell me I can’t do it, that it’s too late. But this is the only thing I want to do. I want to become a world champ one day. Ik there’s people faster, and stronger then me. I can’t control that, but I can control my work ethic. Do you personally think it’s too late for me?

Hey Tony, thanks for making this! Really highlighted some important pieces of info for me, and what I should do to pursue boxing as a whole. I'll be continuing my work and school, but hopefully win some Golden Gloves regional then a national tourney. Not fully certain of how the Olympic qualifiers go, but ideally after climbing the ranks, I could attempt to go your route, rather than "going pro" off the bat not earning enough to live on. Love your videos. I learned to box for self defense and fitness. I also love the sport and watch boxing all the time. It great to hear what a professional boxer go through though. I think it also applies to more than just boxing. It applies to high risk, high reward jobs like a singer, Football player, and actor. The top makes a ton of money and the vast majority struggle to pay the rent.

I’ll be 100% honest i always liked sort of play fighting and wrestling with people for fun but at first i never thought about that and i actually wanted to be a KZbinr at some point. Then i saw legendary boxers like Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard and all these amazing fighters in such an amazing looking sport and i now want to be up there with the greats and to be in that ring and entertain thousands of people through this sport and anyone who reads this comment just know that you will see me on television one day in the ring. It means they don't get paid. I pay £5 a week for 3 sessions a week and that money goes to the equipment and upkeep of the place not a salary.

@@Tony_Jeffries All tbh. When I spar I’m just so scared of getting hit, and even with street fights when I used to get bullied I’d get so scared I’d just freeze and overthink all my enemy moves. When my coach tries to hit me with pads for defense training I get so anxious I also miss them and end up being too slow. It’d be great to get some tips so people like me who struggle a lot can overcome their fear and anxiety to excel in the sport. I also literally forget all my training because of fear and throw random combinations haha. So I’d appreciate help and training advice regarding anxiety and excessive overthinking so that I’d grow more confident and box better. Thanks for your time man!
