My fave "GoTo" channel for all things striking. You provide one of the "missing links" in TCMA that were once effective systems of real world fighting. The lack of hard contact, free play, sparring has gutted much of the tradition. Your channel provides a path for reclaiming things ancient, esoteric, and arcane. Thanks.
@shanedunkin972 жыл бұрын
Been a grappler for most of my life with a little experience in mma. Took up boxing after recent acl tear and repair thinking it would b nice to "get good" at some striking. Your videos are top notch, very informative and nice that u educate from the perspective of both a professional and someone who might not have experience. Plz keep them coming!
@phuongvu5272 жыл бұрын
i dont know man. maybe you should stop for some time. an ACL tear seems to be a bad news for any martial art. even in boxing, you need to rotate your hip, which put a lot of stretching on your already weaken ACL, which may lead to further damage.
@rawen11473 жыл бұрын
I’m happy that theres someone that actually has experience and knows what their talking about is teaching us how to box with proper basics and techniques, just by seeing you hit the bag we can tell you are a professional, there is a lot of internet ‘boxers’ that think they know what they are talking about but putting out misinformation and not showing proper technique. Thanks for actually taking the time to teach the art.

Also sometimes these videos will have some small detail of something I didn't know so I always still appreciate these videos that I basically already knew. Also I train and teach sparring partners at home and this is a video that I would show my training partners cuz Tony can word things and teach better than me. Coach; first of all, absolutely incredible video! Question: what makes boxing southpaw effective, and what makes it ineffective? Statement and question: Sneaker game is on point! Do you have favorite equipment? Shoes, gloves, shorts, gumshield, etc. and what are they? Please, keep up the great work, sir!
@nickh.93653 жыл бұрын
Fighting as a southpaw makes you more vulnerable to nasty liver shots as your right body side is closer to your opponent, while otherwise the rear hand is in a great position for counterattacks against orthodox fighters especially when they throw a jab. Throwing fast combinations, southpaws can be dangerously confusing. If you're facing a southpaw as an orthodox, take good care with your jabs and preferably aim for decent body shots.
